What's your budget? How long do you want to stay and what is your lifestyle? You'll be hard pressed to find anything sound proof for reasonable money. Construction is generally light weight with poor sound insulation to save costs.

Century Spire is currently being built next to it.

I'd rather move to BGC unless you have some specific reason to be in Makati. Only Gramercy has the benefit of being directly connected to a mall but the shoeboxes there are quickly becoming super overpriced (40k for 20sqm anyone?). 800 bucks a month for what is essentially a room you can get as well in the not so desirable areas of New York.

construction noise depends on what floor you on.

theyre currently working around 54~ level where you can hear it and ive woke up a few times due to it. but its nothing major.

Yeah damn expensive. Good to hear it's nothing that huge .. in Asia the reconstruction is everywhere basically..

I'm airbnbing myself there for a month at knightsbridge paying around 45k php all included. I stayed many times at the Beacon it used to be allright but got too packed with chinese who use the units as offices for callcenter business. Huge lines with elevators etc.. damn what a ****hole to be honest

the highrise elevators are a bit of a joke at KB tbh. sometimes take forever. but when i was staying there past few months 1 was out of service and the other was only used for the upper restos. should be alright if theyve fixed the other

Is smoking allowed in all poker rooms in The Philippines?

I went to Resort World today.
I played 50-100, and I can confirm that 100-200 was also running(early evening Friday).
I can also confirm that the games were nitty as f***.
Everyone was playing abc poker.
Boring, but I booked an easy(small ish) win.

Guys, ive stayed in Cebu City for almost 6 months now, and Im getting sick of it, Its dirty, dusty, stinks on every corner, polluted, the traffic is horrendous. It is time to move on to a better place.
I'm wanna move somewhere where threes more nature, beach, more clean, does not stink on every corner. MUST HAVE - Decent Internet.
SO far i considered Bohol.
I wanna rent a furnished place for 6 months. Whats a good palce to stay at??

Another complication is I have a gf who wants to stay in cebu city because she wants to find work here (she just finished tourism uni degree) and does not want to go somwehre wheres theres no jobs. But I am really fed up with Cebu .

Pls recommendations???

Boracay recently reopened, there might be new jobs going for her in tourism there. The beach is nicer after the cleanup and internet's probably same as bohol or slightly better. Wifi was ok in oceanway residences, that's a really nice gated condo with private beach and golf, I stayed there short term on airbnb. 6mo contact prob cheaper. Traffic, noise, pollution better than cebu.

So I decided to change my plans and would like to stay for 59 days in Phils. starting on the 27th. Currently, I am in Thailand. Will Cebu Pacific/Philippine Airlines let me on the plane if I have flight out of Manila 59 days later and tell them that I will be getting the 59 day visa on arrival?

Yeah I've done that before couple times, one time they didn't say anything and the other time they pointed it out, and when I said I plan to extend my visa they just said ok. Get to checkin early so you have time to book a flight in the very rare case they make you.

Yeah, I have done that 5+ times with exit flights as far as 6 months from the date I arrived. Hasn't been an issue yet.

They pretty much ask if you have onward flight within 30 days every time. Just use bestonwardticket for peace of mind imo.

Ime it really depends on the airline checking you. Cathay was by the books and insisted I have a departing flight. They eventually just booked a ticket that refunded itself a week later.

Most of the smaller asian ones seemed to think they weren't getting paid enough to do anything beyond ask.

as mentioned, I would just arrive early and try. If you get unlucky with whoever is checking you in then order a refundable ticket.

Spets, can also consider Davao. Should be cleaner and less traffic than Cebu, though could be better. Can take the short ferry to Samal Island for beach/nature. There also is places like Eden Nature Park and Mt. Apo within distance for a trip. Internet has been good with pldt or globe landline.

An option to stay is One Oasis Condo, next to SM Ecoland. There's has been a handful of new condos built recently. I know there is one next to Abreeza Mall. I have no idea if your gf could find a job though.

Bohol could be nice if you are able to find reliable internet. glgl

Has anyone played at Okada recently? Are the games offered and ran pretty much the same as the old pokerstars room at COD?

How strict are they in the Philippines on the 21 gambling age in casino's? I'm 19 from Australia where the gambling age is 18 and I'm stopping over in Manilla for like 20 hours next week. Was planning on going to resort world for some NL but only just realised about the age restrictions. Would it be really dumb to try and play?

Well basically they just might ask your id at entrance(if you look young)... So if you get inside you are pretty safe... Though i still wouldn't advice doing anything illegal
