To thank Bluegrassplayer had read that the internet was something wrong, and not speaking English.
Indeed, the issue of security is not that I worry a lot, eh lived in several South American countries, and we must be careful at night, and set where walking.
if they could choose an Asian country where you can live with 800USD month, women, partying 1 or 2 times a week, and rent a small apartment, which would be the best? (I know it's a difficult choice and very personal)

Definitely not the Philippines and definitely NOT Manila.

Wow.... are the beaches in Philippines are more beautiful than those in Australia? I'd planned to go there for a few days and I also wonder if it is safe for a girl travelling alone.

Can you grind from Palawan, would you recommend living there? Or is it more a holiday type place? I know like Islands in Thailand are great for holidays but some of the Islands you wouldn't want to stay long term, as they are too small, not good enough infrastructure etc.

If you're talking about Duterte's actions and policies BGP, I wouldn't count on things changing any time soon. His term as president is six years, and he's been doing all of these same things for decades in Davou. Also as we know from watching our own countries War on Drugs...these things never really end.

So....I went to Tacloban for a couple of days. LOL boring, but most remarkable was the offense pinoys have against 'foreigners'. Back in Cebu now, much much better for several reasons.

Might be coz Duterte is firing at USA and the less educated peeps here think all Easterns are evil, any of you guys noticed the same, just wondering? (this doesn't apply to Manila, Cebu, IloIlo and Palawan for all i noticed)..

Well since they call all white ppl americano... so yea... Also the hostility you experience on Tacloban... might be due the destruction from typhoon couple of years ago... But5 yea there are some Filipinos who don't like foreigners everywhere
