ya ive never not seen plenty of white taxis there, and if there aren't any it is only a matter of time until someone gets dropped off and taxis start showing up

however the line of people waiting can be ridiculously long so knowing where the other options are would be good to know in that case

Had a Burgos girl come over to condo before work to avoid the barfine, explained I'd rather give her extra not the bar. Gave her 4k instead of 3k shorttime + 2900 barfine + 500 on drinks

Guess Dante would give her 2k hehe

She mentioned there's been fewer customers in the bars since Duterte started shooting up the place

Going to the Philippines in a couple of weeks. Been twice before but only for short trips. Still basically a noob. Any of you guys used Uber/Grab from the airport to Makati? Any info about prices/experiences would be appreciated. Looking to avoid those awful taxi drivers at the airport. Also does anyone know if they have a smart booth or phone shop at the airport so I can pick up a SIM card immediately? I arrive pretty late at about 22.30.

Thanks for any help.

There's a grab taxi stand, it was 250 or so to makati. Took a while to queue up and wait for the driver though so next trip I just went upstairs and got a white cab to put the meter on, was 170. Not much can go wrong, if they don't use the meter just use the next one

Yeah there are SIM booths in arrivals

50/100 php (~1/2 USD) every night
100/200 php most nights

Higher than that, rarely. Sometime 100/200/500 but don´t count on it

Just stay away from any and all drugs while you are there. The new president of the Philippines is going old testament style on the asses of anyone dealing, or apparently even using, drugs.

So I'd recommend saying no to drugs while visiting the Philippines these days.

Cebu or Manila(waterfron pavillion?)? Well i have played both(though no poker room in Cebu now, so dunno) but used to be ok. I think pavillion was ok also... but yea some players complain(and yea resort's world is better)... Offcourse most(all?) APT's are run by same crew... So shouldn't be problem
