Solar sports has been carying the olympics-not sure what channel that will be in Manila(I'm in Bohol). Contrary to what the other guy said they have carried the Can-US game,the semi's, the womens medal games, so i would think the mens medal games will be on.

The one thing I hate almost more than anything else here in Phillipines is the internet. That saying a lot because half the streets here smell like poop, and there's a lot of political corruption and tons of social problem, no clean water, polution. But I still the crappy internet drives you crazy... almost to the point of getting into a taxi, going to a gun shop, then going to Sky Cable headquarters and shooting multiple people in the face.

I have broken 3 mouse and 1 keyboard smashed against the wall and my telephone that was already in my unit (smashed it on the floor) because i'm playing and i have the nuts or run big bluff and I time out. As far as I'm concerned, Sky Cable owes me $$$ for those broken items and for the hands that made me fold.

Sucks sooooo ****ing hard. I want to play right now. I have lots of energy. I feel like take maney. Boom !!! whoops. It appears as they Sky cable not working. AND it's expensive too, even more then I pay in Chicago - mabye 130$/month for me or 6000P

Good that you brought this up, things like this happen here all the time. Foreigners are a target for hustlers and con men. I remember back in college, a Japanese student, living in the Malate, got mugged and shook down weekly by guys dressed up and pretending to be cops.

If you are thinking of moving here to gamble full time, I would only suggest it if you can afford to live in upscale neighborhoods where there is a big expat and upperclass community. You will be safe there. But the shady areas frequented by backpackers and hustlers are no good.

It all depends where you go man. Like all countries there are good neighborhood and bad ones. Just be selective of who you open up too. You could miss out on some good Filipino hospitality.
