may as well spend a few nights here, get a cheap hotel and head straight for the poker rooms at the very least i would imagine you'd be instantly covering your hotel and food, plus can spend a few hours per day walking the streets, taking it in and seeing if it suits you. Land and earn imo.

Whatever you expect your monthly budget to be once you have yourself all set up, the first few weeks and months when you are getting used to this new country, finding a place, getting set up, finding your way around, you should always expect to spend more during this time then you will once you are set up. I'd set aside a separate budget just for this time period actually.

Your doing this on 7k kind of makes me want to go back there myself. I'm on about 9.5k right now, and am planing on going back to SE Asia (probably Thailand but maybe Phills,) soon. I was going to wait maybe another few months - half a year to save up more money, but maybe I should just go now.

I've spent way more money than expected the last two weeks I've been in Manila. It's not the room rate or poker that's hurting me, but the taxis, western food, bars, girls (naughty and nice) adding up to be more than I expected to sustain the lifestyle I want to live.

I lived like a hermit in Korea and finally excited to be out again where chicks are interested in me, but I never expected Manila to be this expensive with so many distractions. Plus the wifi here sucks ass, the phone lines drop calls constantly and there's always some scam going on in everything.

What's the point of living in Manila if you're not going to enjoy what it has to offer, might as well live in the USA.

Well as I mentioned earlier itt i think its pretty lame here on the degen front, so other than a few hookers in AC i have just been juggling a few regular chicks. I wont be here for much longer, i just got back from 4 days in Pattaya and proper miss it now. Will be looking to move back to bkk and will carrying on living between there and patts.
