In BKK there is only pantip plaza where you can get laptops at alright prices and the prices there are nothing special.
I've never looked for eletronics in Malaysia, but I'd be surprised if their pricing would end up being better.
HK prices can be pretty good if you know what you want (specs wise as some brands are overpriced) and where to get it (fancy upscale malls are for suckers).
You can also get a 5 day short term visa for shenzhen at the border, but chinese IT market malls can be a bit intimidating though as you're the fish in their shark tank and all the dealers are trying to get a piece of you. If your negotiating skills are alright and you don't mind the language barriers you can get very good deals on lenovo laptops.
US online retailers like newegg = the nuts in terms of pricing
I'm not sure if johnny air is somehow able to get around import taxes with connections, but if that is the case then it'd be the nuts.
The Philippines are way overpriced when it comes to anything of firstworld standards and you directly feel the impact of corruption and poor governance on your wallet.
Even nice furnitures are hard to come by at reasonable prices. Just look at all the $1000+ apartments that look like anyone could furnish them a lot better for a few hundred dollars at Ikea in western countries.
