Hi all, me and my wife are traveling to Norway from June 4th - June 14th. We have been slacking on the planning, so was wondering if anybody has any good information on places to go , things to do, how to get there, basically anything that is good insight. We are flying in / out of Oslo, but a rough plan is to go relatively quickly to Flam, take the ferry to Bergen, go to Savanger to hike Pulpit rock, and then also we are looking to go up north to Tromso and the loften islands. The hope is to see / do / eat a lot of cool things in all these places

We are open to all ideas, we like hiking and outdoor activities; we would need a guide for anything relatively intensive though. Our budget is high, from looking there are a lot of really cool hotels. Any and all advice is appreciated!

Feel free to respond in this tread to prompt discussion or PM.

Thanks in advance!
Steven

Sounds like you have a nice plan going here.

I would spend more time in the North than South/South West to be fair. Lofoten is just the stone cold nuts. You will be there ahead of the Norwegian/Northern European vacation season, so you might get it a little cheaper than normal, I am not sure.

I can recommend Reine Rorbuer in Lofoten. If you have a rental you'll blast out there in 90 minutes from Svolvær. Spend a night or two, go on a whale safari. There'll be pretty much 24 hours of daylight in mid June, so prepare for that.

Bergen is a nice place, but not really worth more than one night. Stavanger isn't very interesting other than the surroundings. Oslo is the nut low tbf.

Edit: you can PM me for details, but answering times may vary.
