Help - Party Poker Two Plus Two Bonus question! Help - Party Poker Two Plus Two Bonus question!

Hi!

I'm considering the two+two party poker bonuses (with books). I've been playing on Pstars for 2 months now, and I think I will be switching.

There are two Party Poker bonuses here, and the points/requirements seems kind of confusing. Could any party poker afficianos recommend which I should take based on my buy-in? I will deposit $100. I'll be playing primarily $2 SnG's (or DoN's if they have them - like on Stars). I'd be willing to play $5 SnG's to clear the bonus quicker. My experience at this BI level on Stars is that I am a dead-average player. I'm just at the point where my ROI would be positive, but with rake taken into account, its minisculy in the negative.

Here are the two bonuses to consider:

First: Party Poker Bonus - $25 Free + 5 Free Poker Books
Party Poker will credit your player account with $25 after you use the Party Poker bonus code “TWO25”, make an initial deposit of $50 or more, and meet the play through requirement of 125 raked hands at qualifying tables. Once this offer has been cleared, you will receive a second $25 bonus which can only be used at the Party Casino. To claim this bonus, use the Party Poker Bonus Code “TWO25”.

and

Second: Party Poker Bonus – 100 percent up to $500 + 5 Free Poker Books
Players who would like a bigger bonus can qualify for a 100 percent match up to $500 using our Party Poker Bonus Code “TWO20” plus as an added bonus you will receive five free Two Plus Two poker books. The 100 percent match bonus from PartyPoker.com will be held in a pending bonus account until you have met the play through requirements. The bonus is released in increments of $10 once you have earned the necessary frequent player points (party points) and every 8 points is worth $1.00. That is, to receive a $100 bonus 800 Party Points are needed. You will have 120 days to clear your bonus before it expires.

Any help with recommendations, or with deciphering the differences between the two deals would help. (e.g. on the first one, what is this "2nd $25 bonus only useable at the party casino" nonsense? do I have to pony up more deposit for it? is it automatic? Also, if I play SnG's do I still qualify if I'm not playing raked hands at cash tables? Very confusing).

Thanks in advance to anyone replying.

The second bonus is a lot harder to clear.

At your level the rake on the Party SNGs is quite high relative to other sites. They have:

$3 ($2.40 + $0.60)
$6 ($5.00 + $1.00)

If you take option 2 and deposit $100 you will get $100 pending bonus, which will need 800 party points to clear. You get 2 points per $ tourny rake so you would need to play 400 $6 SNGs or 667 $3 SNGs. If you assume an average of 50 hands per tourny this could be 30k+ hands.

As you can see, the 125 raked cash table hands is a lot easier.

Edit: Note that this is to release for the bonus cash from Party, but all you need to get the books using either bonus code is 5 party points - dead easy.

The $25 and five books is dead easy to clear. You can get the 5 points necessary for the 5 books with an afternoon's play. The remaining 95 points needed to clear the $25 bonus is more work but is doable. I think I'm clearing about 4 points per hour 4 tabling at the 10nL tables. You have 30 days to do it in, so if you are playing an hour a day then it should be pretty straightforward.
