Re: Which books do you recommend?

Since none of the top players nowadays has written a single poker book, you probably won't be able to train your creativity/imagination if you listen to people who're better at writing about poker than playing poker. The basic skill set for poker can be learned from books on probability, game theory, and psychology. Maybe it's better to master these skills by reading non-poker books first and then try forming your own strategies using the skills.

Re: Which books do you recommend?

*tap, tap, tappin' the glass*
All of the above recommendations are good.
But get the ones that apply to your level or buyin or type of cash game, tournament, sitngoes, etc...
For Micros, BlackRain79's new e-book "Crushing The Micros"
Verneer's latest Building a Bankroll, Full Ring Edition http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/33...ition-1163640/
Poker Blueprint, Let There Be Range, as you move up...
Easy Game 3 (for when you get out of the micros, midstakes and higher) ...
and above there you better be reading forums and talking poker daily to know what current trends are and how to deal with every type of situation.
