WSOPC Caesars $1600 Main Event

How would u play this? Blinds were 200-400 UTG solid player opens for 900 which he has done a few times and folded to 3 bets half the time. folds around to button (jeff Madsen) he flats, I am small blind with 88 I 3 bet to 2800 Utg folds and Jeff 4 bets to 7400k. What would you do??I have 35k utg had 10k and jeff has 65k. Also would you just flat instead of 3 bet there??

i flat first time.
i think jeff is easily capable of 4 bettin light here as you cud be squeezing really easy there.
not sure if its worth it tho, prlly fold but jamming seems sexy :-/

Jamming would be nice in a FO, but since 200-400 is still in the re-entry period, your FE might be much lesser than normal and you are likely flipping for a big stack.

I think there are often much better spots in a WSOPC ME than tangling here.

Thanks for the feed back guys. I ended up folding but still wish I jammed. I agree that the bet size should be bigger and flatting here is best play unless im willing to 5 bet jam.

3b here against a utg raiser on 25bbs when you'll have relative position on jeff seems really bad. just flat. Why are you even 3b? Like, what are your reads and thought process?

As played, I really doubt that jeff flats strong hands here against a 25bb utg raiser, I'd probably just cram but idk whatever, nothing seems that great

Flatting pre seams pretty easy here. Doubt 3betting is ever good, and I'd definitely fold pre before I decide to 3bet.

Also Galen, I would think flatting is much better than just cramming pre. Are you trying to say that you are basically sure Jeff is folding close to 100% if you do cram and it's basically like reshoving over the 25bb stack with a bigger overlay?

No, he's saying, as played, cram over Madsen's backraise 4bet.

So, +1 to flat pre first time around. As played, jam over Madsen's 4bet and re-enter when he somehow shows up with the blade.

Re: WSOPC Caesars $1600 Main Event

Seems like with your stack size and Madsen's (and you know he's paying attention to yours when he 4-bets) that he's pretty sure you're going to fold everything but a premium pair. If you jam it, he can fold, but he knows more likely than not that you'll fold, so it's a very +ev move for him. I'd vote for the 5-bet shove (but probably not 3-bet in the first place with the players you've described involved....). I'm very new here, so will see if others agree with this....

Would def flat the 1st time around, and fold too a 4bet. you still have 32k can get it in a better spot, before having to re-enter.
