Wsop ME day1 t300 47x

Hi. I'm Max Martinez, the italian loose cannon, nowadays pokerstars team pro.
I've some doubts about an hand on the day1 of the Main Event.
We are in the 3rd level, after 5 hours, and blinds are 150-300.
My image isn't too much spewy, I lost over half of my stack in the 1st level on q543t board where I had A2s and my oppo 67. After this hand I left with 8k and now I've 14k.

Blinds 150/300
All fold.
Hero hijack AQo raise 600
CO call (he's italian too, I don't know him, he's 40-50 years old and he's calling any raise when I'm the or)
Btn 3bet 2k. (He's a 35-40 american guy, not so much info, not aggro but he looks like someone who can makes some move random expecially against an internet kid and he doesn't like to be outplayed).
SB and BB Fold.

Hero?

You've to consider that is the ME and there are 2 hours blinds.

Flat or fold but I don't play high stakes. Curious to see what good players think.

Default is fold unless you have a good reason to believe he's squeezing light.

have you been able to gradually chip up at this table from 8k to 14k by raising pre and continuation betting? Based on your reads, I think I would fold and find a better spot. If you re-raise and go to 5 or 6k, you're basically back to where you were when you lost the A2 hand.

If u had more to start like 25-30k id say call but with 14k id just fold. But if he started noticing the other italian flatting u every time since its a good spot if he had squeezed multiple times already u could 4b to take a stand in this same spot.

Having the knowledge of when to fold is one of the most fundamental aspects of the game of poker.
ME, day 1, lev. 3, 47x, OP, AQ: easy fold.
It's funny to hear you're a member of pokerstars team pro...

fold, you still got an OK stack to play for a while anyway.
