Weird push/fold decision $1500NL

Final 2 tables of the 1500, I'm short stack with about 10bb. Ante 3k, blinds 10/20k
One player hasn't shown up and is being blinded off.
The two tables are far apart so I can't keep track of who's busted or not.
Next pay jump is 4k more and needs 1 more player to bust.
I'm dealt AJ suited in mid position and am just about to shove, when the TD walks past and says that the player that hasn't shown up only has a single 1k chip left and will be out next hand.
Push or fold?

If you're the short stack by a lot, this is an easy fold.
If the next three stacks have 11BB, 11.5 BB and 11.9BB, then it's probably worth shoving in hopes of either a blind steal or doubling through a caller -- whose range may be wide enough that you're a little ahead on average. You'll be well-rewarded if you're right.
But absent any more information, the seeming certainty of an extra $4,000 in prize money is enough to justify letting go of this.
I'm thinking it's still a push with KK+, regardless. Probably not with AK.

ha yeah, I did consider that, but it wasnt helpful with the distance between the tables.

It sounds like the no show is at the other table, correct? If so, stall until the clock is called or he busts. If the clock is indeed called, let it run out (which folds your hand). More interesting question with AK/AQ but not a difficult $4K decision with AJ.

I think it would depend on the chipstacks of the guys after you. If they're all short, I'll shove and hope they fold to wait for no show guy to be out. If the $4k makes a big difference toyou, I can see the temptation to fold but this just seems like too sweet of a spot to pass up for $4k more when you only have 10 bb and it could add at least 20% to your stack or possibly double you up. Or bust your out, you know, whatever.

chip stacks after me were all good, the only other short person was to my right, Cary Katz, pretty sure he wasn't considering the 4k jump!
The real problem was that I can't keep track of the other table (yes the guy that didn't show was the other table), bust outs weren't being called, and players remaining wasn't particularly well updated, and certainly not within a few minutes, so I could time bank, but I still have no idea where I stand. It was also impossible to know who was short and who wasn't at any given point. Real nuisance in my opinion.

Don't be a nit. Just push. This moving up in places isn't that huge a deal and you aren't busting out that often when you push.

A better question would be to ask how tiny your bankroll has to be to even consider a fold.
Is the objective of you making the final 2 tables to ladder up, or actually win the goddamn thing?

Timebank then raise to 9bb then timebank again before calling it off then slowroll.
