Hey
Just watched for the first time
Van Tran Vs. Alcobar sick hand from WSOP Main Event 2012, and I can't understand Van Tran hero call.
I know that if we are 'results oriented', he made one of the greatest calls in WSOP history, but when I'm trying to analyse this hand, he just can't call a 70% pot bet on the river. Alcobar 3bet him, than Cbet the flop, called a raise on the flop, and than bombed the river. It seems to me that this is a very bad call.
Do you think Van Tran analysed thoroughly Alcobar hand, and decided that his range consisted mainly unpaired high cards? Or this is just a luck and an Ego war?
Thanks!
