Sup.
I generally like to stay out of other people's dramas but I was present when this happened, and this is a good friend of mine. He doesn't have a 2p2 account and asked me to post this, and I'll be happy to vouch that this happened exactly as described below.
So I was living as roommates at the time with my friend who plays as "loicki38" on Winamax. When this happened I had 0 tables left and my friend was 1-tabling. I was railing this from my own computer screen as well.
There were 8 players left in event 72 of the last Wseries about a month ago. It's a 20€ 6max event with a mass field and the payouts were as follows:
The ft would be 7-handed as always on Winamax. My friend had basically average, with 1st-6st all within something like 3-4 big blinds. My friend's in the big blind on the stone ft bubble, faces a shove for all his chips, and decides to use his timebank to stall/payjump/see what happens on the other table with a shorty all-in already. He sweats the flip and the shorty busts, and a second later my friend's timebank runs out and he mucks his hand, automatically sitting back in as you do on Winamax.
The final table begins and in the next hand my friend is again in the big blind (thanks, table balancing). He gets dealt this:
His screen name shows as clear, he's definitely sitting in, there's no "I'm back" button or anything like that he could click. I'm also sweating this from my laptop as an observer and can confirm he's not sitting out. The action is quite slow, we are waiting out one player at a time for someone to go all in on him. It gets folded to the guy in the small blind who finally shoves, and before my friend can do anything his hand gets automucked and his screenname flashes to sit out and then sit back in.
This was 100% a glitch and there was nothing my friend could have done. I have played over 10k tournaments on Winamax myself and I have never seen anything like this. So just to clarify, not only was there no way to sit back in, but he wasn't even sitting out according to the software.

I reassured my friend, who was obviously very tilted, that it's fine and Winamax will surely compensate him properly (assuming he was 90% vs shove range or whatever). I've played on Winamax for ~6 years and they've always treated me fairly so I assumed it won't be an issue.
My friend got 4th, never had another chance at a big stack. He then emailed Winamax almost immediately, and got a response two days later that their support is overloaded because of Wseries and that they'll get back to him ASAP. 19 days later my friend still hasn't gotten a hold of them. When they finally respond, 4 days after another message, their decision is this:
Quote:
Hello xxxxx,
Thanks for contacting us here at the Winamax support team and for your patience.
Please note that as you autofolded the hand prior to the hand in question, you were consequently considered as " away" in this particular hand.
Thank you for your understanding on this matter.
Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Regards,
Steven Blake
This is obviously a bull**** response, but apparently this is their final stance. My friend didn't even make any crazy demands, just asked them to look into it and reimburse him fairly.
So I guess this is a hail mary to get someone to actually look into this, would appreciate posts if anyone's encountered anything similar on Winamax.
PS. This was my view on my laptop as well:
Thanks for reading.
