Third Nuts in Private High Stakes Game; Winner takes all
Reads: SB is a dangerous and competent player capable of taking unconventional lines. Both BB and CO are wannabe pros who love slowplaying strong hands regardless of the board or their stack. I am definitely ahead of the 2 shortstacks' ranges on that river but not sure I can really fold a boat to the villain that covers me given the action.
t500,000/t1,000,000 Blinds - 4 players
BB: t12,000,000 M = 8
CO: t11,000,000 M = 7.33
Hero (BTN): t45,500,000 M = 30.33
SB: t46,500,000 M = 31
Pre Flop: (t6000) Hero is BU with A 6
CO calls t1,000,000, Hero calls t1,000,000, SB calls t500,000, BB checks
Flop: (t4,000,000) A 8 6
SB checks, BB checks, CO checks, Hero bets t5,000,000, SB calls, BB calls, CO calls
River: (t24,000,000) A
SB checks, BB bets t6,000,000 (All-In), CO calls t5,000,000 (All-In), Hero bets t12,000,000, SB raises to t40,500,000 (All-In), Hero calls t39,500,000 (All-In)
Spoiler:
Final Pot: t115,000,000
SB shows 5 7 (a straight flush, Four to Eight)
BB shows K Q (a flush, Ace high)
CO shows 8 8 (a full house, Eights full of Aces)
Hero shows A 6 (a full house, Aces full of Sixes)
SB wins t115,000,000
I was hoping someone would reraise me all in on the flop but to my surprise they all called and the third spade really scared me on the turn. After the board paired I felt I pretty much had to get it in with the second best full house; I was pretty sure any competent villain would have reshoved such a wet flop with A8 and it was pretty though to put him on a straight flush.
Thoughts?
