Sunday 2nd Chance: River spot vs Kleath

So everyone knows who kleath is. I seriously doubt he views me as anything but a random as we have only played a couple hundred hands or so.

When he reaches the river like this, I actually think his range is pretty faceup. However from my knowledge and a life-time of railing, Kleaths fold frequencies tend to be lower than most .

So when he calls turn I think his range is pretty much overpairs almost always of which he has 12 plausible flush combos that beat us that may fold.

Is it too thin trying to get him to fold these hands given that he is less inclined to fold than most? Is it optimistic that I can get him to fold KhKx and QhQx

Cheers, thoughts appreciated.

Interesting and tough spot that id probably struggle with in real time.

I dont think he will check river with the A/Kh when you are gonna be checking back this river sooo often. I think he would lead the river a really high % to get value from all the stuff you arent gonna bet, but will hero/stubborn call with, or try and induce a bluff.

It prob means he has Q/Jh (dunno about the Th) much more often, so if its weighted to these then I think betting may be good. But then again its a late sunday game and he may just **** it call anyway.

Re: Sunday 2nd Chance: River spot vs Kleath

i have no idea how kleath plays but ill give it a crack.

When you raise flop your range is sets, nut flush draw and a few combos of overpairs.

Given this range, kleath never has QQ-KK because they never call the turn bet (yes i skipped a street) so you must check back river.

so im not sure if this leaves kleath peeling the flop with Ax of hearts himself, it would make sense as he is too deep to 3b the flop. And if he has the Ah himself it makes him easier to read ur hand i.e. sets/overpairs

However not sure why he wouldnt x/r the turn with nut flush and not sure why he would x the river. Maybe he has 87hh going for river x/r? Finally, the only other hand i can conceive is KQhh/KJhh and is taking a x/c line. Either way, i think u gotta give up on this river.

Ive never played with the guy and really curious as to what he had just to see if he turns up with anything outside what i have stated, so... spoiler please?

I thought we were OOP here, which would be a pretty interesting hand imo, as played river is a super easy check back.

I think you have enough showdown value here and aren't getting many folds from better to make this an easy check.

This is likely not as crazy as people think since we won't often get three streets out of villain when we flop a deuce. But we have teh button!

Probably closer then people think, I don't think you have the best hand too often , you beat a small portion in his range. Given that, checking is best as you win some of the time and he isn't folding too often on this river

I don't think we are good OTR often, but our hand looks like a set, a mid pp, or 2-pair . Very hard to represent Ah/Kh.

And villain is good, and 250bb deep you run into reverse implied odds.

I guess different heros can profitably flatcall here, but without antes and an assumed tight image I'm posing the question.

Im assuming blinds are competent. Put a fish in the blinds and we're obviously calling.
