silly spot 6 handed at brawl FT

my computer froze 5 minutes before this hand happened so i was sitting out for about an orbit while logging in on my laptop (the A9o hand happened after that). since i've gotten back, mikkelstrack has gotten significantly more active after playing pretty solid to start the FT, flatting a few opens and opening himself when it folds to him pretty regularly. we played a hand 7 hands before this (but after the d/c) where i opened A9o utg+1, he flatted next to act, and i checked three streets to him on a A745J board where a spade flush hit on turn, he had 8s8x, bet the flop when i checked to him and checked back the turn and river. villain is a winner at hsmtts, think he had about 60k profit over 500 mtts with an abi of 100, don't know much else about him and was kind of out of sorts given my desktop situation. on turn i have 790k behind, should i be bet/calling this turn vs someone who has recently become so active or is there something else i should consider? does my line in the A9o hand make me happier to get it in here?

Sick spot. You betting that card looks really strong, I'd be surprised if you're ever good here at a FT, so vomit and fold I guess.

this

i'd have a hell of a time folding after flopping top 2 and i'd probably make the mistake of calling if i don't have my time bank available. but the truth is u r 6handed at a sunday final table with 3 players shorter on chips than both u and villain (who is competent). ur line looks VERY strong (raise UTG and fire 2 barrels) so i don't see many people (if anyone) trying a semibluff with one card to come for their tournament life. this has to be KhJh, TT, 77, or AQ. otherwise villain is one very unique sick puppy trying to get u to laydown AK or AJ. don't vomit, but sigh and fold.

I am not loving it but you need to call he can have a bunch of huge draws or shove worse two pair.

Re: silly spot 6 handed at brawl FT

suited yeah they're short handed and he's started playing a lot more pots and has been flatting in position for a while now. Also id assume AQ 3b/calls pre unless i keep misreading stacks. so like KJ floats and then tons of wors emade hands and pair + combo draws and whatnot

Re: silly spot 6 handed at brawl FT

yea this is a call for sure... not saying i'd love calling but doubtful it would be a profitable laydown longterm

1) he can leverage your torny life so he can jam draws KQh QJh Q9h 89h etc.
2) doubt he shows up here with AQ or 1010 often at all he's most likely 3-betting those 6 handed at the FT
3) 77 and KJh r hands u should be most worried about but such a small hand range shouldn't warrant a fold in this spot it's a call all day every day even with the ICM considerations

im huge on folding, esp at final tables... im leaning to fistpump call but i think its just snap call.

Range?

Here's mine: {AQ}.

Pudge, I think worse 2 pair hands are unlikely given preflop, and since we have the Ac any monster draw was a monster draw on the flop -- I wouldn't expect too many people at a big FT to flat a huge draw on the flop and then jam it on the turn after OP puts in a huge chunk of his stack. Call against Philip Hilm, though.

Re: silly spot 6 handed at brawl FT

i tihnk the range is {T-A,T-A} obv with the semibluffs discounted and T8cc T9cc and 89xx with cc being probably 2.5x likely as the other suit combos

I am inclined to agree, why would you even post that? Pretty standard to let whoever started the thread post results whenever they think the discussion has run its course.
