We are on a 10 handed Final Table of a live 1300$ tournament.
Blinds are 20000/40000 ante 5000 and Hero is BB with a 440000 stack (11BBs). There are only 3 similar size stacks, not any smaller and all the rest are double sized or more.
10th place gets 6200$, 9th gets 7600$... and 1st 69000$
Hero gets K5o on the BB and action is folded to the SB who has around 12BBs stack and shoves... There is a bit of history against the SB who seems to be a solid player making enough Openraise - Fold moves from LP and few Openraise - 4Bet in previous tables.
What should BB do considering all the parameters (ICM, payjumps, history, etc)
It's a new spot...your 10 handed and now have some time to pickup some real hand while others busting before you.You named al the things to consider and all of them are a good reason to fold. You are not playing a KO hyper. The dynamic from a 10 handed FT table is way different then pre FT.I don't like to be the caller with marginal holdings for my tournament live.I would consider calling with a stack that not cripples me when lose the hand.
I think you can find a better spot. I`d rather be shoving from the button than calling here. I can be convinced this is a call, but I would normally be calling with an Ace at least with 11 BBs at full table, especially considering the pay jumps.
