Multitabling

Often when I'm playing a big sunday I find myself playing like 16 tables thinking "why did I start up the Hot11, just takes focus away from the high stakes games". How many tables do you guys play and do you play less when playing a lot of high stakes games?

I know some very good players play 9 tables max all the time, but I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of great tourneys if I start up so little tourneys
It does suck to be deep in an early one when ur playing 15 tables. Maybe I should just late reg more instead just regging everything before I start.

just punt the tourneys where there is little equity in play.

Pull important games/deep runs out to one side or somewhere on screen where you can keep an eye on them. Other games that just started, smallest BI etc just pile up and auto pilot them until you're deep or feel you got to focus on it more. (i don't play HSMTTs but this is how i work at lower levels).

Re: Multitabling

the day before i play a big session i go through and choose all the mtts i want to play and write them down. the next morning i wake up in time for the first one and reg to all of them.

as long as you are comfortable playing alot of tables that is probz the best way. sometime i have 5 tables open at a time other times i get around 20.

never punt off lower equity mtts though because you are just lighting money on fire. before you reg to a mtt you should ask yourself if i can play this at 100%. if not don't reg.

If you were referring to my statement, it was said in Jest.

If you want to play at 100%, play 1 table. 1 tabling you will be at your highest efficiency, and playing at your full "100%" potential. All other tables will distract and take away from your efficiency. You said yourself you get up to 20 tables, there is just no way you are playing at your full potential during these times, therefore, you are contradicting your advice (as you should be.)

Sacraficing winrate per game to increase $$$ rate per hour is pretty standard practice for any multitabling professional poker player...
