BB asks dealer how much raise is, then awkwardly counts his very obvious stack (three 5k chips and a couple of other chips), deliberates about 30 seconds and jams 16,250… Note: This guy has open-limped, over-limped, limp-called and called in and out of position, not shown any creativity or aggression.

Did he just call the turn? I assume he did and then lead the river dark after just calling turn: pretty wtf??? You basically have top of your range here (except 33), but I think you have to fold, especially given reads of this specific player. If this was a sicko who could turn K3 or 73 into a bluff vs your (basically) face up 77, or a huge fish, who would do this for value with those hands, I might consider a call. I think cutoff probably had AK or KQ and bb shows up w/ 33 almost always as played, not to mention the multiple live tells he gives off before moving all in.

You can't fold here after you raised his lead and have 8k to call off in a huge pot. Yes he has quads very often but if there is a chance that he is a fish who plays A3s/J3s/K3 this way we are not folding ever.

early stages of a $365mtt with 200bb, BB has no KK. There is 1 combo of 33 that beats us and then he also likely 3 combos of K3. He most likely also has Ad3 and potentially Qd3 and Jd3.

It doesn't seem that he's bad enough to check a flush all the way to the river and then bet dark/3 bet it but it's a $365 so maybe he is

I'll prefix this with I won a wsopc monster stack last year because it's fun to say and it adds legitimacy, but why did you min raise river instead of shoving? 33 is definitely part of his range but some of the time he's probably reraising flop with 33. You just have his range crushed and so much of his range can call a shove. In these types of events I wouldn't be surprised if this guy had AKdx given this line.. which he would probably still call a shove. Don't be afraid of losing to one combo and get your value.

Fold if he flips over 33 before you act.

Otherwise call.

I agree with Mr Fox that this should be a river shove. Its strong but really not any stronger than your min-raise. If you are hoping to get called by worse then at least make the most out of it.

I folded and he showed me the 33. I just couldn't imagine a hand he's raising me with that I beat. But live players do play bad, so maybe in the long run it's a -EV fold. Thanks for your thoughtful input.

seems like an awful fold that you are being way too results oriented about....you are going to be printing money in the long run in this spot..folding is just bad
