Re: KK, OOP, Early in $1k.

I don't like to check on the flop unless you were trying for a check raise. I would lead out here. If I tried the check raise and it didn't work then I'm leading on the turn.

I think you playing the hand so passive created a tougher decision for you here. The range of hands these guys can have here is pretty wide, and your concerns are with a set or AA. AA bets the flop here, a set could have checked but I'm not sure how far you can get in a tourney if you think your opponent hit a set every time you flop an over pair. I guess you can justify the fold but I don't ever want to put myself in this position. If I did though I think I would still call.

I think you have to do one of the following: re-raise pre-flop, lead the flop, lead the turn.

Re: KK, OOP, Early in $1k.

so your preferred line is to cold call a raise and a 3bet out of position and then lead the Qxx flop?

what is your plan if either of them raise when you randomly lead the flop?

seems really awful

Re: KK, OOP, Early in $1k.

reraising preflop = bad? Looking to get it all in.
I usually lead that turn though, it's a complete blank, and if it goes reraise, rereraise easy fold, plus I hate minraises so if pair flats and riverdave minreraises I flat, hoping to reeval the river.

Re: KK, OOP, Early in $1k.

I like this whole hand and think it's played perfectly [if you were looking to call/lead river or just CR the turn] but I'm king of the nits, obv

Re: KK, OOP, Early in $1k.

I guess I missed something along the way but I don't understand why re-raising pre-flop with the 2nd best hole hand is a bad play just because your OOP. And I also don't see why just giving up on an overpair with a not so scary board is the right play because your OOP.

I thought the plan is to give your opponent tough decisions, not yourself. Re-raising preflop and leading the flop gives them thm tough decisions. I think you take it down on the flop or crush a hand like AQ KQ in most cases here.

No one at any point said 4betting was a bad play. I have no idea what you are talking about.

Are you talking about the turn? Once again, not sure what you are referring to. But turn fold seems pretty solid.

So you think hands like AQ and KQ are calling cold 4bets?

Also, you failed to address any of my points when I replied to you. I asked you:

Why you like leading the flop after we coldcall a raise and reraise preflop.
What your plan is if you get raised after leading the flop.

Re: KK, OOP, Early in $1k.

I think cold calling pre gives away our hand just as much as 4 betting will, so I prefer to 4bet and try to get more chips in the pot.
