Even If I won the bet, I wouldn't have had the money for 10 years....that was actually the main reason why I bought out. Inflation.

sweet strat thread

shouldn't this be in MTT community?

No sex for ten years? I am assuming you are in your 20's and that bet can't be worth it unless you were set for life afterwards.

Also Tehan doesn't seem like a bad dude just play him the heads up match. No reason to be a ***k to him just because you think his game is weak. Not sure why so hostile on an internet forum.

TBJ is just trying to get some HU action which is pretty scarce for Americans these days. Don't hate the player...

I put you on 10s, I would have called with 10s fwiw

Doesn't StealthMunk live somewhere in the New England area close enough to go play the biggest games at foxwoods?

Cant remember I think it was a flip, I just remember sliding my chips over to a very distinct looking opponent.

I wonder why someone that has paid so much in taxes and won so much in cash games would have needed a backer!?

I also wonder why a backer would drop such a superstar like Joe?????? I assume you were in makeup Joe? Care to comment?

Also, for good measure, why would you berate someone that seeks backing to reduce the variance of poker when

1. you had a backer and I assume managed to prove to him you were an idiot just as you proved to everyone that knows anything about poker in your epic poker FT performance

2. The only way you could afford the 20k buyin was by enlisting SEVERAL BACKERS ON TWOPLUSTWO!

Lets hope you aren't broke by LAPC

Lets also hope if you are you can work your charm/link your hendon mob and scam some more people! get a markup ffs! I'll tell whoever you want I'm a fish!
Lol at making assumptions w/o knowing anything...but then this is 2+2.

Ever consider the backer had some financial hardships due to some recent developments, eg Black Friday.

Also Joe was one of the very few guys that was not in makeup and actually made a profit for his backer, so the backer decided to let him go. I'm sure you'd understand being a mtt pro. The horses a backer keeps are the ones in the hole.

Also lol at being able to afford all the big buy in live events even if you were a big winner in cash games. How are you staked for live events if you don't understand the variance in them?

Finally just because somebody crushes in poker doesn't mean he has an unlimited amount of cash. Unlike you (who sounds like can barely make ends meet) Joe has a family and a responsibility and is very wise w/ his money.

3/2 against but I believe they will both be at the LAPC (Joe will be for sure) so it may be 3/2 the other way?

Why would a backer let go of winning players but keep losing players? That's like a hedge fund selling shares of Apple to buy shares of RIM because they are already so invested in RIM. (RIM are the makers of the blackberry)

I'm not saying Joe wasn't a winning player or whatever, but someone's logic does not compute in this argument; either you, or the backer.

a good player in makeup is worth more than a good player not in makeup to the backer bc more of the money is going to the backer when he does win

player B- no makeup

they both play for same backer. Each wins 200k in a tourney

backer takes in (50k +100k) = 150k for player A
backer takes in (0+100k)= 100k for player B.

The one in MU is worth more to staker so if he had to choose to drop one he would drop the horse not in makeup

i think
