Hero (65bb deep) Open JJ UTG+1 to 7000
UTG+2, new to table, Chinese/ Asian (80bb deep) put 3 chips out (To 11,000) and then indicates he wanna call. Called floor and it was deemed a raise.
Maurice Hawkins (100bb deep) on BTN 4bet to 26,000
Hero flat 26,000
UTG+2 Re-pop 100,000
MH fold, jumps off his seat and tells me to fold immediately.

HERO? 50% of me say snap fold. 50% say ship. Am I over-thinking it?

Fold for sure. This isn't even a question. I used to see angles like that in LA all of the time. And when I saw them, it seemed like their range was only AA+.

That said, given these funky UTG+2 circumstances, and given the way Hawkins plays, I might of talked myself into a 5 bet instead of your flat.

Just based on the action this is a fold, with the angling crap even moreso. Think about how ridiculous it would be for him to accidentally minraise and then 5b with air with really strong action pending. He just has AA almost every time. It's close whether you should even flick in the 26k, imo.

This is kind of a 5-bet/fold spot as-is, even without the angle. Do we really want to cold call a 4-bet with JJ when our best case scenario is that we're going to be OOP with a hand where a lot of boards are going to suck? You're pretty optimistic to think both the UTG+2 and the BTN are light here. In real time I'm almost certainly folding, but I guess you can make some argument to 5-bet only because of the specific dynamic.

Yeah, folding to the action, the angle just makes it easy. He threw in 2 5k and a 1k, and then unprompted said "uh I'm calling"? Unless I really had reason to believe he is a noob or confused, Spidey Sense is tingling bigly. Given that this is a possible monster, MH has a ton of live experience and knows this is possible and he still 4b, I'm just folding to the 26k and being annoyed right until UTG2 makes it 100k and confirms it beyond any doubt that he has AA.

As much a tell as an angle shot. Some people need to do something weird with AA with sizing or whatever. Might be fun to fold JJ face up.

I was at this table when it happened, the kid was 100% angleshooting/fake misclicking and I was hoping you were flatting with AA yourself.

I think JJ/QQ is a clear fold to Hawkins' raise.

EDIT: I'm not 100% sure but I think Hawkins was deeper than 100bb, think it was closer to 400K.
