fold

I don t think he will be r/f a lot and a6cc doesn't play GREAT vs his range, pretty sure its a icm fold.

Satellite, 2 spots pay. Opener is supernova, and has been opening lots, particularly 4 handed with the CL, including a r/4b jam vs the 2nd stack. I've only just doubled to the CL 2 hands ago after knocking out 4th place.

    Hero (BB): 62,676 (39.2 bb)
    BTN: 56,246 (35.2 bb)
    SB: 31,078 (19.4 bb)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9 9
BTN raises to 3,200, SB folds, Hero ???

    I'm thinking just rip it.
    12-24-2012 , 05:33 AM
Is BTN good enough to fold kings?
    12-24-2012 , 07:47 AM
He seemed quite competent and I felt he was capable of folding a huge hand, yes.

Also, SB is a very good HS reg, so I can't take liberties waiting for the other two to spaz out like I normally could in a random satellite imo.

Is KK really a fold vs heros jam? Smallest stack is still 19bbs and a good player.
    12-27-2012 , 09:04 AM
Eh, maybe not. Pretty sure JJ is a fold and QQ is close. I was more saying it as a placeholder for "does villain know how ICM works."

    That's what i thought

So what do we like with two nines? What if we have AK? QQ?

Definitely ripping AK and QQ. 9s I'd need some more info on how wide he opens button here, I'd guess based on description that it's kind of close. I'd probably just flat because I don't really expect him to try to ICM **** us post-flop, people just don't play as much chicken in those spots as they do pre.
    12-27-2012 , 12:33 PM
also if he is ICM-understanding and is folding things like AK or 88, then the fact that we have 99 is completely irrelevant, and it would be better to rip Ax than 99, since we have a blocker to AA and an over to any other pair.

Early in the FT $500K. No special dynamics/reads. Considered flatting the 3-bet but the cold-caller changed my mind.

      $365 WSOPc Blinds 100-200 25 Hero has 11.5k Villain has about 30k.
Villain has been on a super heater. Was down to 2400 2 lvls prior and hasn't lost a single flip and has picked up AA 3 times where it held up.

Hero is dealt KK in sb.

PF: Folds to fish in HJ who limps, Villain on button makes it 525, Hero makes it 1100, folds to villain who calls.

      Flop(2850): Q J 4
Hero bets 1350, Villain calls in tempo.

      Turn(5550): J
      Hero?
      01-04-2013 , 03:04 PM
      bigger pre imo. now 2825
      01-04-2013 , 03:09 PM
pre is probably fine, id go for 1200 tho
      2450/c now

Why is bet call a shove better than bet fold or check call?
      01-04-2013 , 06:18 PM
folding AA in a 3bet pot 60bb deep with this board is just bad imo. i think betting is better than checking because you loose a street of value of Qx, str8 draws and flush draws if villain check backs turn.
      01-04-2013 , 10:47 PM
I have KK not AA. But my question was why is betting and then calling a raise better than check calling? Because I don't think it is.

I understand why you think betting is good. But my question is to the people advocating betting and still calling when we get raised or shoved on. I don't agree that is a good line to take. I like either bet folding or check calling.

      4 left in the 100c turbo payouts are 11,3k - 8.3k - 6.2k - 4.7k

Shover is a good reg, a bit on the tighter side. But seen him do some absurd stuff before, however been pretty snug on this FT. Been giving me a lot of walks bvb. Button is a pretty bad fish. CO is someone I haven´t really seen before, but playing pretty standard/ok. Whats our callingrange?

Considering SB has an M-ratio of about 8 i would probably call it with TT+ and AQo+

edit: i dont see how can i fold K10s+
