Pre is standard.
Flop seems pretty standard. I guess there might be some merit to checking back but think there's more value in denying equity to random overcard combos the blinds might have. Plus our opponents are going to have a lot of 9x in their range that are going to continue.
I think I can make a case for checking turn. When the 8 comes it becomes much less likely our opponents have an 8 as well, and because nobody 3-bet overpairs are much less likely as well. Because of that, I don't think we're getting too many worse hands to call 3 streets, plus checking back means I can comfortably call rivers if my opponents decide to bluff missed draws. We are allowing draws to stick around, but unless a J or 4 hit we're not super upset.
As played, we're going to have boats here, we're going to have T9 here, 54, maybe 95s, but that might not be enough hands we need to continue with. I'm thinking we have to call with at least some of our 8x hands.
K8 is better than, say, 98 or T8 - not just because of the kicker, but because we really don't want to have cards that our opponents might be using as bluffs. I'm a little too stationy in these spots nowadays so I'd probably go with it, but I wouldn't be upset with a fold either.
