First time playing 1 mil gtd. First time playing 1 mil gtd.

Hey all...

I'm a fairly recreational player but I take the game very seriously and have taken it more seriously in the last year as I've started playing a lot live (usually 1 2 or 2 5) and have done really well in live donkaments at local casino. I'm familiar with most major literature, (harrington probably had the biggest impact in making my game at all viable ) have listened to a lot of bart hanson podcasts and watched his videos, blah blah blah.

Got into the 1 mil gtd on americas cardroom purely from accumulating enough points in the freerolls to get into a satellite for the 1 mil, which obv I got through.

I cashed in the ftops main like 6 years ago lol but I don't have a lot of big buy in tournament experience. I played a 1500 buy in in cincinatti and made it to day 2 but spewed off a big stack I think mostly due to nerves.

I honestly feel confident in my a game. Tournaments not for 75 days so I have plenty of time to study and whatnot... I know the play will be much different from the crazy spewing of the free rolls but what adjustments should I be making or how should I prepare? Any thoughts or advice? Thank you so much.

Dude its the same ****. No set, no bet. Chase with proper odds. Bet when checked to. Know really well what 2 to your left and 2 to your right are doing. Glgl

Kind of what I figured.... I'm pretty good at knowing when I'm beat, I'm capable of making thin calls and jamming w any 2 depending on situation, check raise bluffing obvious c-bets, firing double barrels w air, bluff raising, monitoring spr and image etc... being aware of fold equity and odds. My main weakness is I don't have a big grasp on gto play but isn't that more important for hs cash games anyway? ?

Post seems very bluff-orientated haha. Dont go mental. Im assuming structure will be good, no need to pull off too many elaborate bluffs. Not sure if GTO will apply too much in one MTT - think thats more about balancing ranges perfectly in different situations to make yourself unexploitable. Will apply a little in terms of pricing in opponents, getting correct prices etc, but thats all. Just adapt well to different stack depths too.
