Mad1Lee is right, but a bit harsh.

Thinking about it a little bit, I think a check on this flop is best.
I also think you are weighting the possibility that the villain has air in his range to high. It does happen where a player has two random cards and bluff raises in a spot like this. But if he does have anything you are likely crushed.

The problem is that OP is insisting that the villain has air a lot of the time and thinks his shove will pick up the pot. So I guess it becomes a debate as to how often this player will have air and be bluffing vs having an actual hand. Most players say its extremely unlikely at these stacks to have air, OP disagrees.

Mad beats 100z for .01 bb/100 tho so he's obv the sickest nl player around. Don't believe me? Just ask him he'll tell ya. He just moved up from 50z where he crushed lol

it will never be sooooo bad btw
Cbetting or not is prett close and after checkraising every option is valid
If this would be the bustouthand of someone i have action in i would never be annoyed that my guy made a big mistake, not even close

Agree. I do think vs this type of villain we're going to see Kx a lot and honestly I really don't mind villains line one bit, but it's not a disaster to gii with our hand. I just think folding does better.

thanks for the advice guys, I wasn't necessarily looking for 'expert' advice just wanted to get a few quick opinions.

I've spoken with some top players about it, some who even played w villain in this event (you can read some of villains other hhs in the tourney, some are complete punts) or before, and I've gotten a lot of mixed opinions about the hand.

I had all of my own action and don't usually ever regret my decisions. If villain ends up folding or calling it off with a weaker hand (which def happens some non-zero % of the time) I can live w my decision despite it not necessarily being the optimal line. additionally, even when I get called, it's not like I'm ever rly drawing stone dead. I guess I made a bad read that villain wouldn't just flat hands like k9o pre.

My real 'regret' was not bringing up a swap going into day 3 w the ppl who ended up coming 9th, 8th and 1st, two who said they most likely woulda done so lol.

why would you not expect villain to call k9o for 1 more bb vs a btn open is the better question

Yeah defending K9o is pretty standard in this spot.

Hey stoffmakers, was at your table for day 2 of this event as well as the $550 PLO tourney, enjoyed playing with you, fun guy at the table.

I think as played you can still fold when he c/r you on the flop. I can see why you jammed, given the opponent; but I think you can still get away from this and have just about a full orbit to pick a better spot to get it in. I don't hate your jam because you usually have at least 22% equity here, I know that's not very much but you're hardly ever drawing stone dead.

Cheers mate, GL @ the tables, and in school!

Assuming with K9o? Doesn't look like a bluff.

you are a big fat troll, but honestly, do you think that bad live players even think on that level? All their thinking comes down to "Is he bluffing or is he not bluffing he has to be bluffing WHAT CAN HE HAVE HE BLUFFING" and "oh man but I have a pair I can't fold (what can he have? IS HE BLUFFING?)"? And then they bust out because they call down with one pair and get shown the nuts and shrug it off as a cooler.

huh ^ how do you expect jamming to be a better option than call or fold? do you expect his cr range to just be completely fos? normally you post decent strat but I cant see how raising his bet can be a good option with this holding
