This is my first time posting here, basically I'm trying to improve my tournament game. Alittle about my game, I don't cash often, but when I do its usually a deep run/final table. My thoughts are that I am too loose and aggressive at times.

Don't have anyway to copy and paste from bovada so gonna do my best here.

Buy in - $100 + 9
Game - NLHE
Starting stacks - 10,000
Blinds - 125/250 25 ante

BTN - 9,375
SB - 17,920
BB - 37,461
UTG - 10,000
UTG+1 - 35,820
UTG + 2 (hero) 15,866
UTG+3 - 7,936
UTG+4 - 13,410
CO - 17,735

UTG raises to 750, utg+1 folds, hero calls 750 with 109 , Folds all around

Flop : 9108

UTG bets 750, hero raises 2250, UTG reraises to 5250, Hero all in, UTG calls

Villain shows QQ

Turn Q River 6

Now in this spot I didn't know anything about my opponent, he/she had just bought in and sat down about an hour after the tournament started. I would say a somewhat suspect call by me pre flop. The table hadn't been to aggressive up til this point in terms of 3 betting.

Basically I narrowed my opponents range down to a high pocket pair after his 3 bet on the flop. Now if he has a high pocket pair with a spade I'm only at 50/50 to win. If he has JJ or QQ with a spade I'm a 2/1 dog. The best possible scenario for me is QQ with no spade I'm a 2/1 favorite.

Is it possible to fold here? Can I call Knowing villain will shove the turn no matter what card comes off. I guess I can call and fold if another spade hits, but what if an ace hits and he suddenly checks, would he check??? Is this the kind of chance I just need to take here?

I'll post the second hand a bit later.

The second hand, and I make this play quite a bit usually with so/so results, wondering if I should just remove it from my game, and play more straight up in this spot.

BTN - 37,036
SB - 18,750
BB - 33,995
UTG (hero) - 5,841
UTG+1 - 7,211
UTG+2 - 13,360
UTG+3 - 17,685
UTG+4 - 13,900
CO - 17,745

Blinds 125/250 25 ante

Hero UTG dealt QQ raises to 700, folds around to BTN who calls, SB also calls, bb folds

Flop : 453

Hero checks, BTN bets 2,000 , sb folds, hero goes all in 5,116, only 3,116 more for BTN to call and he does

Turn : A River : A

Button has K9 and wins with a flush

My question is should I just lead out on this flop and shove all in? I will routinely check here against aggressive players trying to get them to bet so I can possibly double up. I'm not even sure if my opponent would fold to a shove here. He has to have 2 over cards here to the flop, 2 overs and a flush draw is the worst case. Am I pricing him in too much with this play, should I just shove and hope to win a smaller pot?

Hand 1: That's a really bad call preflop given the stack sizes. Once you get raised on the flop, well, you called with a weak hand and smashed it, I guess you should go with it. If you really wanted to control things, I suppose you could just flat the flop with the plans of shoving a blank turn.

Hand 2: Not a good flop multihanded as a shorter stack. Overbet shoving is a bad play, and betting the pot might not work either. Looks like you got all your money in (barely) ahead. Just too wet of a board. Can't blame your play here.

Hand 1: I definitely feel calling preflop was wrong here, meaning I should have never been in this spot. If I flat the flop, can I still define my opponents range when he bets the turn? He could have A,Q or A,K with a spade and still bet the turn, maybe he checks A,K with no spade and folds to a bet. Even if he has pocket 10s that queen on the turn is scary. Maybe flatting would have been best, but avoiding this situation all together even better.

Hand 2: Multi handed it is a bad flop, and most likely I'm about even money most of the time here. Is it possible to just check and fold here? Would leave me with 20bb, maybe I can find a better spot to get my money in?

ya just check/fold hand 2.....don't wanna get it in vs totally dominated hands or anything.

What's the point of making the marginal call with 10-9 if you actually get lucky and flop top two and think you should play it any differently?? Post flop you did what anyone would've done.
