Hard Rock (Hollywood, FL) Deep Stack Series - $560 multi-flight
This small series features events with very generous, lengthy "Main Event" style structures for less money. For a Monday morning in May I am shocked at what a good table this is. Taking a look around the room, it's clear I got a good draw.
They started us with 40k in chips and levels are 40 minutes on day one (60 on day two). I've been here for about 5 hours and have reads on pretty much everyone. We are currently 7 handed.
Seat 1 (SB) - 70,000 (Local rec who recently rebought and was sent back to our same table. Passive, ABC who is sick of getting rivered every hand)
Seat 2 (BB) - 60,000 (Another local rec who just doubled seat 1, paying off horrifically)
Seat 3 - 40,000 (Local lag rec who was table captain for most of the day till he halved his 100k running bad, so playing more passively now)
Seat 4 - 40,000 (Recently sat)
Seat 5 - 60,000 (
Me - Solid, thoughtful reg rarely (but not never) gets out of line, who up till 15 minutes ago had 80k but some bad stuff recently went down)
Seat 6 - Empty
Seat 7 - 30,000 (Bizarrely overplaying older rec, impossible to put on ranges, very loose and unpredictable, pays off light, prone to shove it in multiway for 5x with JT on QT5)
Seat 8 (Button) - 70,000 (Standard TAG whose valuebets are on the large side; having a tough time figuring him out otherwise)
Seat 9 - Empty
As you can imagine, many (most) pots here have been multiway. Lots of open limping, lots of cold calling of really big opens, lots of limp/calling of 3bets (but no limp/3betting yet), tons of very loose flop peels, all that jazz.. In short, this is still feeling like a (really good) cash game. Anything I've been showing down in multiway pots has been strong (for anyone paying attention lol).
Very recent history: In a hand that showed down, I flatted Seat 8's large EP open w/ A
K
from the SB, and on a board of K
J
T
5
J
, I checked and called his usual substantially sized flop and turn bets. River got checked through and we see I lost the minimum vs A
A
.
An orbit goes by. In the previous hand I raised over seat 3's open limp, and check-folded a wet multiway flop (something I've been doing a lot today).
Blinds 300/600-100
Seat 3 open limps for 600
Seat 4 folds
I raise to 1,800 again, w/ A

Seat 7 calls
Seat 8 folds
Seats 1, 2 and 3 call
Pot: 9,700

Three checks to me, I bet 5k.
Seat 7 calls, as do seats 1 and 3.
Pot: 29,700 (I have ~50k behind)
