Hero: Tight image. Have folded twice to big river bets on boards with 4/5 straights.
Villain: Very loose, but neither especially aggressive nor passive.

75-150/25

Hero 8K
Villain 5.5K

Folds to hero in cutoff raises to 400 with 9h7h, Villain calls on the Button.

Flop is 9s7s2h, hero bets 600 Villain calls

Turn is Jd, Hero bets 1200, Villain calls

River is Tc, Hero checks, Villain shoves 3300

Ugh, he can have so many 8x if he's loose pre and calls stuff like 87o. Hard for him to be bluffing without exactly 2 spades that made no pair, I guess that's Q2-Q6, K2-K6 and A2-A6 that might feel it has no showdown value. I guess he could bluffjam a hand like KTss but I think most people will just try to show that down. I'd make a fairly confident fold here.

Yes, I saw the flush draw and thought he would be bluffing some busted draws. But

1. It was for his tournament life.
2. He has way more 8s in his range that I thought.

As played, he had J8o.

A line I didn't consider was the check raise AI on the turn. That might have worked here, though I suspect Villain would have called anyway.

Even if he bluffs 100% of missed draws I'm still not sure it's a call with how many random 8x he can have. If you check turn he probably checks it back, and certainly won't fold if you c/shove.

True, he probably calls a turn check/shove. At least I get my money in with the best of it. Of course, I won't like it he checks back the turn, missing my chance to charge heart draws and one pair hands.
