Can we ever fold here?

sick...I guess he could turn AsT into a bluff otr but he might not open it pre...AsJ would be an ok bluff as well. And some may even go crazy w/AsK I suppose.

yeah I'm not folding vs. this size.

btw not really sure that xr riv is the highest EV play in a vacuum. it makes sense from a rangevrange standpoint to apply pressure in a spot where Hero has more flushes but if you consider that checking allows him to b/f 1/2 pot w/Kx and vs a lead he pbb just calls all his str8s vs. psb - 1.5x you can see why betting might be better. I also don't even know that AK no spade calls your turn probe not closing action MW which reduces his Kx combos. you also get 3b bluffed once in a while when you xr .

Villain should only rly have one bet size here otr
09-13-2016 , 09:49 AM
You checked. Villain bet (1). You raised (2). Villain reraised (3).

You have a bluffcatcher vs most opponents. If you don't know, call, if you think he's not likely capable of turning AsKd or something into a bluff and doesn't overplay a lower flush, fold.

He picked the wrong one

Haven't been on stars for a while. Sunday million is 700$ now?

Online poker sucks for spots like this. No reads. Just guessing.
Prob donk off call knowing u might be beat

The way it was played I can't see him betting river with AsJx and not betting flop with it. Turning AsKo into bluff seems overly optimistic assumption, again, why would he delay c-bet it and then turn into bluff perfect bluffcatcher.

Just seems like a fold. Check-raising river seems meh, what clubs he didn't bet the flop with?

It's because its WCOOP, next week the sunday million is $2100 buyin (if im not mistaken)

On the hand, I would shrug-call river as played, but if i could re-play river I would probably just call instead of raising

This is one of those spots to lead river for maybe half pot since you have all Axs and all Kxs as well as more Kx, and you can call a raise unhappily. As played I don't know how many people are going to check flop, bet turn then play this river with an unsuited As x. If he's a solid/looser player he could have all Axs preflop, and I think we can discount J9s quite a bit based on how the hand played out. Looks like you ran into some A2-A3-A5s type hand that probably isn't too balanced with bluffs.

also, people still not knowing what 4bet postflop is.

Wow people saying they'd c/c river are incredibly results oriented. You can bet/call or check/raise/decide, but c/c is insane.

Since you bet the turn and don't know what to do to a 3-bet, wouldn't it make more sense to b/c?
09-16-2016 , 07:22 PM
I think it makes more sense to b/c this hand, but not because "we don't know what to do vs a 3bet" or "because we bet turn".
09-17-2016 , 11:44 AM
Def b/c otr as played.. think once we check otr, c/c. Think turn is a pretty clear check.
09-17-2016 , 03:31 PM
HOW DO PEOPLE WANT TO CHECK/CALL RIVER? HOLY MOTHER OF GOD

09-17-2016 , 05:28 PM
Shouting wtf at my screen and clicking the call button after a few seconds.. then shout when he rolls over the nuts. Checking turn I think over betting tho
