$3500 WPT series main event money bubble - Page 3 - High Stakes MTT Strategy

Here's some background to show why it's not such an easy call. I normally play $150-$200 buy in tournaments at my local room. I sattied into this at a cost of $150. And a min-cash here would be my biggest tournament cash ever (I've won $5k+ a few times, the min-cash here was $6700).

They are advocating doing this if you are going to make mistakes postflop because you need the money and are afraid to bubble. afaik the people advocating that OP fold pre would not be folding pre themselves. Their point is that while folding pre is probably -chip EV, calling pre and then giving up to pressure on flops that do not contain 7s simply because you are afraid to bubble is more -EV.
