Confusing situation in 300 EUR MTT, 2nd orbit, 25/50 blinds, 15k stacks, I 3bet pre to 375 BB vs. 125 open from CO (villain is aggro local reg, I'm basically unknown). Flop comes 883, I bet 560 he rr to 1650. Surprised but I flat and see turn 3. I check up front and he bets large 3500! What to do, if I shove I'm likely to bust if behind but why would he bluff like that early in MTT if he knows that I have a large pair b/c I 3bet pre. What did I do wrong? Obv am not playing large pairs optimally OOP.

I folded b/c it was a long haul to play the MTT, but I'm pretty sure I got bluffed and am trying to avoid that in the future.

very unfortunate spot. i like the fold. not sure he's doing that with jacks and i dont really see what 8x hands and 3x hands are in his range but if hes really aggro then i guess its possible. it sucks if you got bluffed but i doubt a reg would be getting this far out of line early in a tourney. probably a good fold
