$215 HR - QQ turn spot

Hero running 30/25/13, Villain running 24/16/31.6 over 37 hands. Blinds 75/150/15. Currently 7 handed.

UTG opens to 390, CO calls, Hero in SB raises to 1375 with Q Q UTG calls, CO folds.

Flop is 5 9 9
Hero bets 1400 into 3400, UTG calls.

Turn is A

Is this a bad spot to shove 5k into 6.2k repping Ax?

Given his preflop flat, villain's range may not include many Ax combos (4b shoving AK, blockers to AQ, AT-AJ folds a bunch). Is his range more weighted to pp's and random floats? Should I expect a fold from AT-AJ sometimes on the turn? If I check the turn I feel like I have to c/f the turn/river and I'll rarely get to showdown unless vs a pp that's folding to a turn shove anyway.

LOL @ trying to make a better hand fold here. If you push, it's looking for a hero call from 88 or something.

Yeah, shove for value, unless you think he'll shove behind with a FD. Why do you think he has AJ here? Your 3bet looks really strong, even with your flop sizing it's probably unlikely he's floating this flop with A high.

we should jam anyway. If we had KQ, you'd all be saying jam now.

I don't disagree with the first part but I disagree with the second part. If we had KQ and we're saying jam, it's for a different reason (I.E. we're trying to get better hands to fold that are <QQ like 88 or w/e) so it's not a perfect comparison. We're obviously not folding out >QQ whether we have KQ or QQ so it's a moot point. With QQ, there's still value in getting called and with KQ there's value with getting a fold.

Hum you think ace high calls the flop and then folds the turn when he hits top pair for one more bet? You're trying to literally get kings to fold?

Shove and get called by 77 and fade the two outer imo.

I like checking turn. if he floated with a high hes very unlikely to fold to a jam and if he has a pr he is prob happy checking behind thinking u r giving up and then u can vbet river. If u check and he bets you can evaluate based on how agro hes been. and if he has a pr which is what it sounds like as played the a killed ur action and you r probably not going to get 3 strts of value
