Hand is from Merge highroller (215 FO) - villan is a high stakes reg.....
15/30, 7k effective - a couple limps, villan in MP makes it 160, hero MP+2 calls with 84dd, SB calls, rest fold.
Flop (570) 8c 4c Qh - sb checks, villan bets 320, hero raises to 960, SB folds, villan calls
Turn (2600) 8c 4c Qh 3c - villan checks, I?

It is generally poor play to not mix it up and play hands like 84s every once in a while...

This sounds serious.
Yet, how can it be?

cause we're 200+bbs deep with villans range defined? I mean the times when we do flop big we're getting paid alot so I cant see how this wouldn't show profit..

Re: 215 - 2 pair on bad turn
1. lol at villain's range being defined. He's a good player isoing limpers and you have no reads on him. What makes you think that his range is "defined"
2. If you think he's got a narrow range, fold. If you think he's got a wide range, 3bet. Against literally no range is flatting the optimal play with 84s here.
3. I mean, really? If you had 72o would you be thinking, "MAN I WISH I HAD EIGHT FOUR SUITED RIGHT NOW SO I COULD FLAT IT!"
This entire hand is a disaster. You flat with no plan, you hit a 99th percentile flop for your hand, and you still have no idea what to do on this turn. If you are playing hands in spots where you hit 99th percentile boards and you still don't know what to do, that's a great indication that you should probably be folding pre. For a lot of reasons.

well thought to a full table after a couple limps at 15/30 hes isoing a very tight range given position.... is there an effective stack where you could flat here vs a narrow range?
so we've decided pre sucks ok.....whats to do now?? trying to salvage the butchering
