Re: 1K WSOP with QQ early

Yeah. Lesson learned. I'm fine with getting it in vs the sb or the opener but a 3 bet this early is Jj+. People flat ak early too so I have to weight his range accordingly. QQ doesn't play well against 2 really tight ranges so unless btn has been super active 3 betting early, qq is a fold.

Re: 1K WSOP with QQ early

fwiw, think this is a snapfold. not sure what ranges you're stoving, but i'm not trying to call here unless i think i'm crushing-which i don't- not this deep. maybe if eff stack size was like <60 bb, i'd go w/ it. that being said, not folding KK unless dude shows me AA.

also, i'm like a 27 year old nit. grain of salt and what not

Re: 1K WSOP with QQ early

Very easy fold on a heart breaking hand thats all. Overall situation always more important than hand itself.

You fold because the combined chance one has QQ-AA here is significant, near 50%. Original guy 7%, asian guy 25%, sb guy another 30% possibly even more if not bad player.
Overall looks like they have it 50% of the time. The other 50% its like TT,JJ,AK. Overall very marginal spot at best.

I may do the math better later but over 100bb deep is not worth it given that if you have edge vs the kind of people that make it a call anyway because they are loose stupidly wide and negative ev spewy here say, you will get them later much safer ;-)

Also, you have only 25 in the pot. Hope the 3 bettor calls and you will get good infor for later use.

I might fold Kk here.... QQ is a snap fold.

I prolly don't fold Kk, but I def think about it before getting it in.

Re: 1K WSOP with QQ early

I would get it in here... I definitely wouldn't fold because somebody in MP (who had been somewhat loose previously) had re-raised a 75 open to 200... he could be trying to iso with all sorts of hands (broadways, suited connectors, etc.). The quick ship for 2400 doesn't feel like AA or KK... people rarely just insta-overbet-ship those hands... sure, it's a little high variance, but folding QQ pre without some real indication that you're beat just isn't my thing. You're going to need to find spots to chip up in this tournament and this seems like a good enough spot IMO.
