5 players left.
Payouts:
32k
20k
12k
9k
6k

Stacks:
Seat two (hero): 1.1 mil
Seat five: 800k
Seat six: 1.6 mil
Seat seven: 700k
Seat nine: 2.8 mil

Hero is on button. Blind are 12k 24k 2k ante.

Hero opens to 52k with A3h
BB calls

Flop A59 rainbow.
Villain checks. Hero checks behind.

Turn 6 still rainbow.
Villain checks. Hero bets 60k. Villain raises to 180k. Hero calls with intention of calling most rivers

River 9.
Villain bets 355k. Hero tank folds. Though he might check raise 9-8, 9-7. Also he has 7-8 in his range. Although I think raising a nine on the turn is slightly awkward I include that in his range. He could also have pocket 5s or 6s. I would also include bigger aces in his range. Note this was the best player at the table and definitely capable of bluffing. Last hand before level increase as well.

Hero does?

At a FT, probably check turn as if villain is any sort of good, he can punish our pretty face up, non nutted range.

Sorry you have 78 in your range, most likely should be betting Sets/2pairs OTF so your betting range on the turn for value is like {78}{A6}{96}{56}, of which depending on how the villain perceives you, all of those could be cbets on the flop.

Actually on second thought, I doubt hero is checking back 78 instead of doing a standard C-Bet. If you arent cbetting 78, I bet you are not cbetting enough especially in a live setting.

im talking about fhs. 78 should be getting bet at 100% otf for many/most flop cbet strategies

Those conspiracy theories of someone trying to exploit us because we are "face up" again.

It's just a straight up value raise 99% of the time.

What frequency does 97/98 raise here when your range is so wide preflop. Why would he turn those hands into a bluff by raising? And is he ever raising for value here with a hand like that? Makes no sense to me.

He can definitely have sets and 65/87 on turn. But when 9 pairs he is only value betting 87 and the rare boat. I call and expect some stupid q7/j8 or some **** like that to be shown.
