Villain played 22/19/15, but it's only 38 hands. He called 3-bets OOP with KQo and 98s before.

I guess that's always a fold?

It's actually pretty close since he can easily hv a flush draw. Even against JJ u hv 28.38%. U need 34.5%. He prolly 4b jam 99-JJ pre so some overpair
Combos are gone.

why do we cbet?

Calling pre is also an option. If u wanna rr pre, i would make the size a bit bigger.

Also nothing wrong w checking behind.

I would fold to check shove.

Value/protection/range advantage etc...there are plenty of boards that hit his range better than ours, but this is not one of those. Our hand isn't strong enuf to c/c so betting>>>c/f'ing.

It is an interesting question btwn b/f and b/c tho.

As played I would fold. I think checking behind the flop is better. If V bets turn you can call and expect to be ahead a lot and then decide what to do if V barrels river.

Since you only have 35bb I also would probably be calling pre instead of 3betting. I think there's not a lot of benefit to 3 betting this particular player because he has a lot of chips and is sticky. You have a strong hand that is way ahead of his range, you are in position. Bloating pot will just turn this into a situation where you are playing for your stack too often against a player who probably will put you to the test often.

Given your stack size another alternative is to 3bet bigger than normal and hope this forces V to decide whether to get it in preflop or not. I would never do this myself, but you could make it 8-9 bb 3bet. Your hand is strong enough to justify it. If for some reason V calls, you will just shove any flop and hope your hand is good but with almost 20bb in the pot and you only have 25bb or so behind, it's an easy shove on the flop.

I'd call, he should have a f/d here (given your read of him defending to 3bets light) way to often for you to be getting the wrong price to call.

I like check back flop better.
