1,500 Limit Holdem 2012 WSOP question

I want to play in this event this year and was wondering if anyone here has played in it with any feedback. I know they start you out with 4,500 in chips and hour intervals, but is the structure pretty decent for a good limit player?

I usually play in the Venetian Deep Stack events and love the structure. Someone said the WSOP structure was not as generous, but still decent to buy in size.

all of the structures are available on wsop.com . Decide for yourself if it's worth playing

The Venetian limit structures are terrible (too deep early, too shallow late). WSOP structures are great.

For the lower buyin limit tournaments I love the structures. The higher buyins need fewer bbs to start and longer levels late imo.

Lemme guess... You probably like lapc limit structures 10 bets on first break. Win a hand or go home.

Love em. I have **** to do. Cash games are profitable. If there isn't pressure on a tournament stack then the level is pointless and negatively impacts my hourly, dealers tips per down, and overall costs to the casino, leading to higher rake further reducing my hourly.

If your hourly is so hi in cash games then it would be hard to justify playing a crapshoot limit event for $300 that still takes at least 10 hours to play out.

It honestly shocks me that somebody like you who understands equity enough to beat machines doesn't see how you should want to spend zero time playing irrelevant levels.

Did you think the bellagio 1k Omaha 8 had wasted levels. I thought all the levels were meaningful.

Any time the average stack is greater than 40 big bets things are pretty irrelevant. Players dont bust making the average stack lower when things matter too.
