Hello x,

Thank you for your email.

We are sorry to insist, but we can confirm that no other version of the PokerStars client except for .FR can be accessed for real money play from France. Therefore, you will not be allowed to play on your .BE account during your holidays in France.

Moreover, while you are more than welcome to play for play money on the .FR version of PokerStars during your stay, no .FR account can play for real money without going through the full account validation process. As you have not moved to France durably, and as a Belgian resident, local legislation will prevent you to successfully validate your .FR account. Therefore, you will neither allowed nor able to play for real money on a .FR account during your stay.

In conclusion, we are sorry to confirm that you will not be able to play for real money on any version of PokerStars during these holidays. We hope you enjoy your stay despite this fact.

In the meantime, please feel free to contact us again if there is anything else that we can assist you with, x. Last but not least, the PokerStars Support Team would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year in advance!

Regards,

David A

Re: Stars.fr vs Stars.com

Je suppose que je non, mais l'an dernier j'étais au ski avec des amis hollandais dans les alpes françaises, et ils avaient joué sur ps.com après avoir envoyé un email au support (pendant une semaine).

Cela a probablement changé depuis ?

Re: Stars.fr vs Stars.com

I'm thinking of switching to stars.fr and play lowstake MTTs just because the $1-$5 buy-ins on stars always create massive fields and with that a massive variance.

The rake is a bit higher on .fr on tournaments but how are the 1€-5€ tournaments on .fr? Reginfested or full of french fish? The fieldsize is smaller which is what I'm mainly looking for.

MTTs on .fr are the way to go very fishy esp at these levels

Re: Stars.fr vs Stars.com

MTTs are fine but you can't expect to find the exact format you want at the exact time like on .com

For example you would like to start multiple Freezouts NLHE about 10€ buy in , about 180 player MTTs in te next 20 minutes, that just won't happen you will have to wait AND won't be able to multitable as much or you will need to mix formats and stakes (include some turbos, some rebuys, some knockouts)

It is not good for someone who is studying a particular format and wants to practice.
