Lol.

It is more work but it is work I'd put in on visualization which I don't train enough. Getting and tracking a game vs qb on a separate app is more administrative work rather than anything helpful for chess development. Anyway, ill play on chess.com but I know you don't play on that.

Going to start logging again. I've been supposed to lift 3x a week but it's been more like 1, on average. I did have a few weeks where I couldn't really lift to bring that average down but, whatever, need to get back into a better routine.

Last 3 workouts:

5/20
Pendlay row 195x5x3, 155x5x5
Pullups bw x5x5, planks

5/21
DL 315x2x2, 245x3x5 beltless, planks

5/22
Incline bench 140x5x2, x7, 115x5x5
Tried press 75x8x3, x7x2

I probably should also construct some sort of program, or go down in weight and run SS properly (or GSLP or something like that). Not really sure what to do, tbh. I don't want to lift for longer than an hour and want something for 3/week and if I only get in 2, it accommodates that. I could always try to do something like 5/3/1 and/or juggernaut but I really don't think that works very well for me unless I spend a lot of time on the workout doing a ton of extra accessory stuff.

She hasn't even watched me lift yet. I'm that big of an embarrassment.

My dog still runs when I start lifting. But he cannot tell the difference in noise between 10lbs being dropped and 1,000lbs being dropped. I mean, he probably can but they all sound like serious business to him.

Sick for 2 weeks then was in Las Vegas for a chess tournament with family.

I did lift the last day I was there, though!

50lbs DB incline bench (8-12 reps)
neutral grip pullups (5 reps)
50lbs DB tricep pull thingies (like rippletoe but with DBs instead of BB) (10-15 reps)

4 sets of:
50lbs DB rows
37.5lbs facepulls (~15 reps)

Wife and I are going to try to trade off nights since our daughter seems to want to drink from a bottle in the evenings anyway. So perhaps we can both start lifting 3xweek now regularly.

I just downloaded the newest malazan book called Fall of Light (which is actually a prequel).

Unfortunately I haven't read any Malazan in a few years and have forgotten everything's do have no clue what is going on.

Have you Read (listen) to any good fantasy lately? I just finished the first law series. It was ok, nothing great. I am actually eagerly aWaiting the 6th Prince of Nothing book coming out in a few weeks.

No, I was actually considering starting that though (prince of thorns). peobabky after is Malayan book and the prince of nothing one.

I didn't hate the first law series. Just didn't like it enough that I am in any hurry to read another Abercrombie series.

Lifted yesterday. Finally feeling healthy (for now...). I think I'm going to do GSLP (with incline bench instead of press) starting at ~50% of what my max was a few months ago. Perhaps that way I can keep sessions quick and easy and get into a good habit/routine. So weak and fat right now probably anything will work.
