Re: You're going to suffer, but you're going to be happy about it: Gizmo's log
The fact that there are apparently others who are, in at least some aspects, nerdier than I am is one of the more welcome discoveries the internet has afforded me.

There will always be fanfic though I assume. My sister claims there is good fanfiction around for popular shows/books. And she is smart.
Btw, my g/f and I made an agreement that we get to pick a book for the other one to read. She gets to read Game of Thrones so I have my fingers crossed that it lives up the hype and she gets on the bandwagon. In general though I have a feeling she hates fantasy.
I am going to read Murder on the Orient Express and probably another book, b/c, I mean, Game of Thrones is probably at least twice as long although I don't really remember how long it was or wasn't.

Fail, my GF has read every GoT book out and is the one who introduced me to it.
Also fail, Murder on the Orient Express is probably Christies worst

Ahhhh. Yeah, okay, very loose usage of the term "fail". You can just wait though, so when she hates it, you won't have blown your fail wad already . Or, I guess that could be an epic fail.
Hmmm, ok maybe I'll do both Murder on the Orient Express and Death on the Nile. I think I already read one of her books (forget the name) and it was good. It's no 1000 page somewhat esoteric fantasy read, but I liked it, lol.

Eating healthy and exercising is a way to help me feel in control of my life (at least a small aspect of it) not the opposite. I guess that's probably a good indicator that I'm at risk for anorexia

Excellent. Update us as you read it- whether the approach makes sense to you, and if the "re-wiring" clicks.
