Its time to fess up for fatness. I always type way too much so here are some cliffs first.

Cliffs:
- I was skinny (150lbs) now Im fat (192 lbs).
- I like alcohol, good food and fast food.
- Goal: Gain strength, fit in my pants, drink less alcohol, eat less junkfood, feel healthier.
- Ill be logging here using MFP.
MFP says I can have 1800 kcal a day and lose 1 pound a week doing so.
- I have a small homegym situation and want to get started on some exercises but I have no idea what so Ill do some internet research and post a schedule later on.
- I have a knee injury.
- Stop. Drinking. Beer. On. Weekdays. Please.
- I have tits
- I have compliance issues when it comes to logs so Im going to start this out with offering 100$ to the first poster to call me out on an absence longer than 3 days (72 hours unless Im dead/injured/spirit of bet/etc, Ill be deciding obv). Not sure if that is ok but that stipulation has helped me before.

Some background on my weight/eating so far in my life. I've always been pretty skinny, weighing in at 150 pounds (Im 6 feet tall) up until a few years ago. I then visited a dietician who told me to eat a bunch of sugary and fatty stuff which I did until I was around 172 pounds.

I was doing fine for a few years, I have always been terrible at eating as in, I just didn't like to eat/prepare food/was always poor/always stoned.

Since things have gotten more serious relationship wise that has all changed and I like to eat, am no longer poor nor stoned. So then I got fat.

Ill call it fat for now because I truly feel like Im fat, other people just see me as puffy or whatever but Im fat, I cant fit in some clothes, I have tits and I feel fat so thats it.

I got up to around 189 last year, got into a propbet to lose +-16 pounds in 8 weeks which I did but I feel like I've lost a ton of lean mass during that time. I was on a very low cal diet and doing daily cardio exercises.

So that was around 8 months ago, I started going to school, remodeling my home and it was a stressful period all together. I gained it back and then some which puts me at 192 right now feeling not only fat but also physically weak. I love sports but have had a knee injury for a few years now, Im set on going back to get some treatment for it but haven't actually done that yet. Bending my knee under pressure can be pretty painful.

My weak points:
I love good food (homemade/restaurant) but I also love crap food (burgerking/mcdonalds/pizzas). I especially eat crap food when Im unprepared or have little time. Quick break at work, get BK. Late home from school, get a pizza or MCD. I also make it feel like some kind of reward when I get it which seems ****ed up.

I like alcohol, mostly beer and wine. I sometime change it out for rum/vodka and light coke but that just gets me buzzed way too fast on weekdays so its not really an option for the regular drinking. I don't drink too much in a sense of being an alcoholic but I definitely feel like I would like to drink less. I drink just about everyday, anything between 2 to 8 beverages on the weekdays, double that for the weekend days. Its also just bad healthwise so Im going to have to change that imo.

I can be bad at routine/discipline things.

My goal:
Gain strength, fit in my pants, drink less alcohol, eat less junkfood, feel healthier.

My plan:
Ill be using MFP to log my calories, it worked great for me during my propbet and was definitely the reason I made it. I can be pretty anal, measuring everything that goes into my face and trying to log it as accurate as possible. Ill be trying to eat less bread and drink less beer. MFP has my daily at 1800.

I have a small homegym-like room, it has a racing bike on a biketrainer (Tacx). I also have a dipping/chin up station, a bench with incline options, dumbells and a few kettlebells, the floor is lined with training mats so I can also do ground stuff. I have little to no knowledge on how to train (lolsowhyyougotahomegym amirite) but I figured I want to train my core and upper body a bit. Ill devise some kind of training schedule this week which will probably include flies, random arm stuff, squats if my knee can take it, chin ups, dipping, abdomen stuff. Don't think its wise to do cardio for now. Im biking to work everyday which takes about 25 minutes total. I also dance (ballroom/latin) 3 hours a week on average which can be pretty intense.

So, lets go. FWIW I have yet to decide how Ill post my logs, I want to screenshot MFP but items will be in Dutch so Ill probably throw in a translation here and there. Also will be trying to make some food pics along the way.

Had some coffee with milk and bread with peanutbutter this morning. Little test to see of this tapatalk mfp screenshot thing works nicely.

I've been contemplating creating a similarish log for myself lately, so good luck. I'll be following.

Why not change your mfp language to English? Will make it easier for us to follow, certainly, and presumably shouldn't be a big deal for you?

Good luck.
First tip: See if you can find something to replace that calorie dense peanut butter. My current go to is cottage cheese+sliced chicken+cucumber.

Fabian, melk = milk, brood = bread, pindakaas = peanut butter. Considering he is Dutch these are very likely the three ingredients that make up 90% of his diet. Kaas = cheese for the last 10%

Good luck! I hope I don't collect that $100.

Thanks and good luck to you, changing the language in the app doesn't seem to be possible so Ill take screenshots from the site from now on. The food will still be Dutch but Ill provide short translations. Most of the items will be easily recognizable though.

Haha, this is not untrue. Im definitely going to swap out peanutbutter and bread for something else but I'm not yet sure what my breakfast will be like. Im thinking about maybe having eggs for breakfast but Ill have to make the comparison between such a breakfast and my bread and peanutbutter ridden breakfast.

Salsa dancing skinnyfat Dutch? Hmmm....

Actually, I stopped dancing salsa a few years ago. Its mostly the more classical dances like tango, slow fox, waltzes, rumba, samba, cha-cha-cha, paso doble and jive (I think I got them all there). But yeah, I always refer to myself as skinnyfat unfortunately.

I made the kabob recipe from Josies thread http://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/2...ri-recipe.html, I really liked it. Ate a salad with it with Romaine, Cucumber, the grilled Cherry tomatoes and a french vinaigrette (forgot the romaine so added that after the screenshot for 15kcal). Had a yoghurt and a coffee in the day. Ill try to see if I can add english ingredients as long as they correspond with the Dutch ones I use wrt kcal's etc. Also corrected the Yoghurt, hadn't see the 1 cup = 170 comment so that makes me 230 kcal over today. I don't like it but at least I didn't eat junk food I guess.

My first night was a lonely one, I go to school on Wednesday and my fiancee has to teach courses till late so its always a dangerous dinner (usually I get fast food). Luckily I read Josie's log in the day which motivated me to make the recipe linked above. I definitely messed up my olive oil intake so I have to get used to toning that down, mostly wrt the vinaigrette. I made the recipe as is but set aside most of it to re-use tomorrow for dinner. There is also always an excuse for beer and tonight its soccer (Champions League), tomorrow Ill probably have a few beers as well because of soccer again. Its Friday the day after so lolnobeers but Ill figure it out next week.

Mmmm your meal looks amazing! I am so jealous that you made the chimichurri. I bought ingredients to make it but didn't find the time and last night, I turned my basil into pesto. I'll have to make this yummy salad later in the week.

How many beers is a few? Pick a number, enter them into MFP and then don't exceed the number. And no sausage jelly biscuits!

Thanks Josie it was pretty good! The salad is kind of my staple eating thing. When not dieting my vinaigrette is usually oil 2:1 vinegar and some mustard/salt/pepper. When dieting its more like oil 1:2 vinegar with the mustard/etc. Its great on itself or with a can of tuna or grilled chicken pieces and you can add capers, pickles, bell peppers, pretty much anything. Sometimes I swap out the mustard for sambal or add garlic/shallot to the vinaigrette.

No sausage jelly biscuits for sure, much too euro for that . I entered three into MFP but I feel pretty ****ty so Ill probably exceed that with at least two which ends up being another 300 kcals. Im almost done with remodeling my house, Im in the finishing up phase, installing light fixtures, finishing up on some paint things, etc. which is weighing on me quite a bit mentally especially since we have been a bit too busy lately so its been going really slow. Feeling depressed is probably the worst reason for drinking beers but Im going to work towards finishing some major things this weekend so I expect to feel a bit better next week.

Ate lunch based on some of the many egg variations I've seen in H&F/OOT (2 eggs, a bit of bacon, tomatoes and spring onion). Also ate some yoghurt, I did add some jam to it but not too much, just a tiny bit for taste. Still slightly hungry but other then adding a bunch of lettuce I have no idea what else I could eat which isn't too calorie dense and isn't tuna or chicken. I have 1300 kcal remaining for the day right now.

Yesterday was 2300 kcal for +500 mostly due to beer consumption. Today was a good day, was hungry a few times but Ill definitely try to add some fruit and a bit more eggs to my diet. I also biked about 45 minutes today. Also had a dessert which wasn't planned but Ill allow it.

Obligatory pic of my food but it was the same as yesterday, really good recipe and my fiancee liked it very much as well.

Everytime I cook chicken I think about barbecues all over the world serving dry chicken. Its such a damn shame.

So I've made the decision to stop alcohol consumption for most (all but 1) nights prior to a weekday. Lets see how that works out next week, should help a lot.

I pretty much ate all day but no real hunger, still that lingering feel of missing something, don't think I have gone this long without eating carby food before and I forgot picking up the fruit. Also got some sous vide ribs waiting for me tomorrow so figured to keep it on the low today.

Dinner was zucchini, roasted peanuts, bell pepper and chicken breast;

Ribs for tomorrow, going to dip them into the SV in a bit to go through the night;

Baby back ribs (Sous vide + smoker)

Have a party tonight so Im going to lol past my limit which is fine for now. Tomorrow may be light unless my team wins the national soccer championship which would mean beers.
