Nice job both of you!
Most inexpensive scales actually have some similar reviews. I think the problem with this one is it tares at inconsistent times if you just weigh. However, this model has 2 'accounts' that you can log into, and it tracks your most recent gain or loss. Whenever I log into my account, it has always been consistent. I think it is because I take my toe off of the "begin weighing" button when the '2' pops up, and it doesn't tare until the 2 goes away. Whereas if you just do it without "logging in" it goes straight to the "---" screen and your toe sometimes makes it tare inaccurately.

I told MLYLT that I would weigh twice and show proof and if they were inconsistent, take the higher one. This weigh-in, like the others where I log in, was consistent (once it changed by 0.1, but that is obviously a standard thing).

Was at conference this week, so happy that both days stayed under calorie target. Helped that I had a small dinner when I ran home on 3/1 instead of a full meal out, and that I skipped the booze on 3/2.

I'll be in Indiana for training in a couple of weeks. I have no idea how I'm going to stay under Cal's having to eat out every meal. Good job keeping your Cal's low with the conference.

And, you better step up your game. I'm determined to make this my best month yet, so I will lose more than 11lbs.

Going to dinner tonight with a buddy and his kid, my kids and my gf, so I have limited calories so far, sitting at 670 calories for the day, done until dinner.

When going out, avoid bread, chips, etc. Maximize the lean meats that you can get. Minimize booze. Those are the best keys. Do NOT just say "well I'm going out, might as well just wreck it." That said, if I'm at a nice place, I'm also going to fully enjoy the meal, won't turn down homemade desserts, etc.

If you lose 11 lbs. this month, you will very likely even your record against me. I definitely need to increase my gym attendance, though I haven't had much time these past couple weeks.

Pretty solid weekend food-wise.

3/3: Snacked during day in prep for meal out. Got a salmon sandwich with fruit for dinner, which allowed me to snag the free ice cream cone.

3/4: Busy day out with kiddos. Part of it was a birthday party at Dave & Buster's. Resisted the urge to grab a burger and booze, and just went home and had a salad and some healthy snacks instead. Also resisted urge to just stop and snag fast food during all the running around. This could have been a 3k+ day if I wasn't caring, instead, under 2k.

3/5: A sub-1500 day! Grilled chicken is a life-saver. Cookies twice isn't optimal, but can't nitpick a sub-1500 day, and I didn't have any hunger.

Traveling again this week tomorrow through Friday, and going to a place that usually involves lots of drinking. Not going to completely abstain, but going to try to keep it somewhat on the rails at least. Going to hit the gym before I get on the road tomorrow.

3/6: A rare day over the target, as my kids' school had a fundraiser night at Fuddrucker's, and I hadn't had a burger from there in forever. Did get a salad instead of fries (I may have overlogged here, as I only used literally 1/6 of the dressing that came with the salad), but ended up also snarfing half the bag of kettle chips that my gf got as a side.

Fuddruckers is pretty great, especially their buns, which unfortunately even the wheat version comes in at 290 calories. I like the amount of options that they have, several different meats, lots of topping options, condiments, etc. They also have hot jalapeno cheese dip that you can put all over your fries, which is great, but I abstained obviously.

Tuesday was a good day nutritionally, I started out with a 45 minute fat burning/cardio routine at the gym, then had some granola cereal (super tilting that I scan the barcode into MyFitnessPal and it calls it "ceral" not "cereal", JFC). Grilled chicken and rice for dinner, then I got into a moderately serious car accident on the way to Galveston for work. GF picked me up and went back home and had a vodka for the rattled nerves.

Yesterday, I was thrown off schedule, and grabbed Chick Fil A on the run. Got a big breakfast because it was going to have to serve as breakfast and lunch. Then a vendor took a big group out to dinner. I normally get tropical drinks at this place, but instead rolled with vodka and club soda. I only ordered butter and cheese on my potato but they mixed it up and brought me a loaded one, and I ate it anyway. Group of 40 or so, I know what a hassle it is, whatever. The pie was outrageously good. #NoRagrets. 7 vodka drinks over the course of dinner and karaoke after. Needed the release. Despite the 3k day, rolling average over the previous 7 is still 1986.

Love the lunch buffet at this hotel, so just an apple and coffee for breakfast today.

What did you sing at karaoke? Sorry to hear about the car accident. As long as everyone involved was ok I guess that is the main thing.

Yeah, I was probably 2-3 feet from being hospitalized at best, so some property damage and inconvenience not to bad in the overall scheme of things.

Karaoke setlist was:
Baby Got Back - Sir Mix-A-Lot
Ice Ice Baby - Vanilla Ice
Before He Cheats - Carrie Underwood
Picture - Kid Rock & Sheryl Crow (duet with another work friend)
**** Her Gently - Tenacious D
You Never Even Called Me By My Name - David Allan Coe

I am not a good singer, but people always say that I am good. Karaoke is all about putting energy into it, and song selection. Rule 1 is don't pick some random song that no one knows. Part of the fun of karaoke is everyone singing along. Rule 2 is don't pick songs that require real singing if you can't sing. I broke that rule with the Carrie Underwood, that was the first time I'd done it, but I noticed that everytime it was on, everyone always sings along. Plus, it adds a bit of cachet and fun for a guy to sing it haha.

Yesterday, I did OK through lunch. Managed to focus on grilled chicken, fish and fruit at the lunch buffet. Did have a big piece of homemade Italian cassata cake at dinner. Was delicious. Then 800 calories of booze. Oops. Headed home today, will have to do fast food lunch. Only fruit and coffee breakfast again.

Yes I can't sing but it doesn't stop me. I love singing in the car, hanging the washing out or pretty much any excuse really.
I had to google that song by Carrie Underwood btw which is surprising considering she is quite popular here in Australia. I can't imagine a guy singing it but kudos to you for doing it

Heh, thanks!

3/10 - grabbed a shrimp po-boy at a local seafood place, delicious! Also ordered a side of shrimp kisses, which were shrimp stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon. There were 5, and nothing else listed on the menu with them, so I expected the jumbo shrimp. Instead, they were smaller, on a bed of fries. :/. I probably overlogged the fries, only ate 10-12 of them, but whatever. Was able to have a lo-cal dinner and help offset some of the Wed-Thu damage.

3/11 - Good day overall, grilled chicken and salad dinner always helps a ton.

3/12 - Took kids to Main Event Entertainment, did a B on lunch there getting a grilled chicken quesadilla, but did eat one of their leftover chicken tenders. Much better than lots of other options. Also for exercise purposes, I climbed up their 30 foot rock wall 3 times. 3rd time my arms and shoulders were pretty fatigued and I almost quit, but decided to push through and made it again.

Trying to figure out gym time this week, have to have a new car purchased by Thursday because my rental coverage ends, but hopeful to go a couple times this week with no traveling.

I LOLd at "GF sabotages". Great phrase. She's doing good too, she's logging with a 1200 goal and only hit 1280 for the day with the pizza.

3/17: Another day that would have been 1500-2000 calories higher a couple months ago. Went to one of the food/booze theaters with GF (saw Get Out, strongly recommend), so I prepared by having lower calorie breakfast and lunch. Did carnitas tacos with black bean/corn/avocado salad instead of a pizza/burger/etc. Kept it under 2k even with almost 400 in alcohol.

3/18:

3/19: Did brunch at Cracker Barrel with GF before going out of town for work. Pretty happy with under 2200 calories with two restaurant meals, one including an alcoholic beverage. The restaurant at the hotel didn't have a good substitution for the chips. They were really good homemade chips, but I did leave more than half of them.

3/20: Not a great day. Being on the road is always a tough one. I should have turned down the cinnamon roll at breakfast, knowing that I would likely have dinner out with drinks. It was really good though, and almost certainly under the 410 calories I logged for it, b/c the HI Express ones are larger and have more icing. Lunch was delicious, and they just brought the cheesecake. It looked amazing, and it was.

For dinner, I did limit myself somewhat, just doing 10 wings, no sides, and a couple drinks.

3/21: Tried to bounce back a bit here, just had snacks and one BBQ meal, which was amazing. Did their chicken special instead of ribs and sausage to go with my 4 oz of brisket. Also played a round of golf, my first of 2017.
