Just take a pic on your phone and easily upload via Tapatalk. Everyone makes fun of me for this, but it's fast and easy.

Did this one on phone. Have to go into website on phone bc no "printable" on the app and it ends up taking like 4 screenshots. Easier to do on computer and then I have them archived in Imgur if I want, without having to keep random MFP logs on my phone/cloud/whatever.

Plus the sizing sucks. Meh.

Slightly better, but still out of focus. Larger size is too large. Baaaa.

6/26 - Had a reception for work, then met some old friends for poker. The friend I mentioned last month who died unexpectedly was part of a group that used to have a weekly poker game. We met to talk about him and old times and play.

At the reception, I passed up chips/salsa/queso and just had a beer. At the game, played at a local pub, I went over calories by having 2 23oz beers and had a steak and cheese sandwich which was great. I did poorly on the side, as I got onion rings, one of the players' wives had gotten them and they looked great. Only choices were slaw, fries, chips or rings. Would have gone fruit if it was an option. I'M NOT EVEN TRYING.

Had a good time, and snapped my cash session losing streak, winning one American dollar haha. Did continue losing 'big pots' on last hand, as there were 3 of us left and we each put $15 in pre and just dealt it and ran it. My T2o was no match for T7s and 63o, heh.

6/28 - had lunch with an old buddy from work. Current coworker bought queso for the table and I didn't want to pass it up (for etiquette and, more importantly, deliciousness reasons). I did limit to 10 chips (and there were probably 80 chips on the platter). I also love the fries at this place and they had added garlic cilantro version, so I got them. They were fantastic. Managed to stay under target by limiting to less than 600 calories excluding lunch.

You're doing really well BA. Are you feeling any positive changes from the weight loss?

Thanks! Not a huge difference in my physical well-being. Definitely more stamina though. Lots and lots of people have commented on the improvement in appearance, which is of course nice.

6/29 - great calorie day despite the Doubletree rep bringing a giant box of their delicious cookies to the office. Also got some good exercise coaching my daughter's soccer practice.

Losing a pound during a month that you spent a significant amount of time in Vegas is an accomplishment you should be proud of!

Thanks! Yeah, had a weeklong work travel, 11 days in Vegas and both my daughters' birthdays, so having another negative month was cool.

What are these ~200cal bars you are eating for breakfast? Are they keeping you full untill lunch?

The need to eat at certain times (such as at breakfast) is largely a function of habit. If you're in the habit of eating a large meal as soon as you wake up, your body will produce a strong hunger signal when you wake up. When I was dieting down over the course of last year, I never ate breakfast. I'd wake up at 11a and eat my first meal at 4pm. My body had no problem with this; it wouldn't make me feel hungry until around 3.

Now that I'm no longer dieting, I eat breakfast every morning. Now I'm hungry whenever I wake up. For that matter, since I've been bulking, I'm hungry all the time. It's actually harder for me to stay under 2300 calories now than it was to stay under 1500 calories last year. This is how powerful our brains and hormones are.

It's ok to feel hungry sometimes you know. I never eat breakfast and don't eat before 3 or 4 frequently.

^^ Yup. But she's been told that a million times.

It's ok to be hungry. It's ok to fast and skip meals. You don't need to 'feel full' until your next meal.

I have had a couple different ones. I got Clif bars, and more recently some called ZonePerfect from Costco. They are pretty tasty, and a decent amount of protein (I know they have more carbs/sugar than is neckbeard-approved).

As far as being full, I will on occasion have a yogurt also before lunch, maybe 20% of the time. I also have learned that it's OK to not feel stuffed after every meal, and OK to not eat the first time you get that "hmm hungry" feeling. Very often, the hunger will just go away quickly.

Weekend was fun, but not great calorically.

6/30: Good calorically despite the cookie. Composition could be better.

7/1: Bacon and eggs at home, then on the road for 3 hours. Ate lunch w GF and kids at GF's dad's place. Limited myself well on fries, but had half of my younger daughter's burger. Then on the road for 3 more hours. July 4th party with my brother, cousins, aunt and uncle. Had two patties and a hot dog, but only one bun. Oops booze.

7/2: Hotel breakfast, went on the larger side, since plan was no lunch. Drove 3 hours, met my stepdad and his wife at the Perot Museum in Dallas, which is fantastic. Had the Super Pretzel there for a snack. Dinner at Red Robin - good was I subbed chili for the fries (had 5 of my gf's fries), bad was I had a 360 cal cocktail.

7/3: Better day. Hotel breakfast, more reasonable. Went with GF and kids to waterpark, so lots of exercise during the day. Got a hot dog for lunch at the park. Went to 4th of July celebration in evening and got Sonic there. Split small tots with GF but daughter didn't finish hers and I did. We got froyo while waiting for fireworks.

7/4: Good job again on the hotel breakfast. Met GF's mom and brother and wife at Chili's for lunch. Good lunch choice, did have literally 4 chips of the bottomless chips and salsa that came with my GF's mom and brother's unlimited soup/salad. Added a cup of chili to my lunch. Drove 3 hours home. Other brother and his GF came over and I grilled. Had an awesome prime blue cheese burger, a sausage and brat. No bread for the brats and I skipped all the chips that were available. Did have a cider and a vodka/RB.

Overall, I still am right at my target for the last 7 days, despite going over on my last 4. Looking to put a few good days together before I leave again for work on Sunday.

7/5 - under 1600 despite having leftover sausages for dinner.

7/6 - picked up kiddos from ex in the morning to take them to my work and she hadn't fed them. Took them to McD's and also ate there. Managed to stay comfortably under for the day regardless.

7/7 - stayed home with kiddos. Made myself an egg sandwich in the morning, then used a coupon to try the new Chick Fil A grilled chicken sandwich for lunch, and got a diet frozen lemonade also. Yum. Small dinner kept me again well under the target of 2050.

7/8 - buddy came over and brought his kiddo. GF made a roast, but he brought Luby's Mac n Cheese for a side. Ate a strictly rationed serving, but also had a slice of the peanut butter pie he brought. Holy amazing. Did also finish off kiddo's tilapia stick, and had two ciders. Over, but not bad for a Saturday where we were entertaining company.

7/9 - Got up too late to make breakfast so grabbed McD's. Couldn't resist getting two sandwiches because I had buy one, get one free, but at least kept it to 720 cals for those two instead of pressing 1000 which would have been possible. Lunch with buddy at BBQ place, got lean brisket and tried collard greens for the first time in my life for the side. They were amazing! Had a beer there, then a mixed drink and a cider at a podcast show we went to, then a beer at the WWE show after that. No dinner, kept myself at a very reasonable total given the start and the booze.

2038 average for the week, considering I had vacation and hosted company twice and had a day on the road/at entertainment venues, coming under target on the average for the week I think is quite solid.

7/10 - Did breakfast at Chick Fil A, got two entrees to be able to skip lunch since I knew I was going to have dinner out.

Made a good choice at dinner with blackened Mahi with dirty rice and a salad with italian dressing, but did have 3 chargrilled oysters with french bread rounds and a crab-stuffed jalapeno that were bought for the table. Had a hurricane then a captain/diet.

7/11 - skipped breakfast and went to the gym for some empty stomach cardio. First time I've done the gym on the road, so that's good. Lunch with the work group, they had a taco bar. Skipped the tortillas, made a bed of greens, topped with half shredded chicken, half beef, salsa, cilantro, onions, and a touch of queso and a touch of jalapeno ranch. Couldn't bring myself to pass up the sopapillas, but was one of the only people only getting one, ha.

Went to the casino after work, and had only a small bacon/egg/cheese sandwich for dinner. The grill at the casino has calorie counts for items, but I would bet 5 figures someone just randomly guessed them, which is so odd. The sandwich was listed at 271 or something, which isn't possible. Biscuits and gravy with two biscuits was listed at like 1300. Lots of others that just make no sense. I logged a sandwich from Panera that's 490, that's probably a touch high if I was going to guess. Someone ordered a malibu/pineapple then left and the cocktail server was going to have to buy it if no one else did, and her shift was ending, so I took one for the team and bought it. Was pretty hungry driving home but resisted the urge to grab some Whataburger.

Poker was yet another nightmare.
Spoiler:
Played their $65 donkament, this is a hand that perfectly sums up the last 3 years of my life: blinds 100/200, I'm BB with 76o. 2 limps, I check. Flop T76cc. I bet 500, both call. Turn Q. I bet 1200, call, then donkey inadvertently fumbles out 2200 and is forced to make it 2400. I jam, other guy folds, and 2400 guy calls. He has AQ. River Qc.

So let's sum up: he limps AQ so I see a flop where I flop two pair. I then bet over 3/4 pot and he overcalls with no pair no draw. He then turns top pair, and then he can't put out the proper amount of chips so I get it all in as a 4:1 favorite then lose. If he just calls turn, I obv check/fold river as it is literally the nut low card, since the flush gets there and my 2 pair is counterfeited. He drastically ****s up every street and gets rewarded. Of course, after the hand I have 2500 and he has 15k and he still busts before I do.

I claw back and down to 22 paying 7, I am BB with QTo, 3 limps and I check. Flop K96, all check. Turn K. I figure that I can stab here, as if anyone had a K they likely bet flop and I do have the straight draw. I bet 1/3 pot and get one call. River is a bingo, J. Get it in and he has 66 for the boat. Started the hand with 14 BB so not like I can fold a straight there.

I then play 1/3 for 100 minutes and I win one pot where I have 97ss on button, flop a flush draw and bet flop and turn. Only hand I won. Finally, last orbit for me, 2 limps, guy makes it 18, I jam 65 with QQ, folds to him, he whines and says "why did I raise? uggh alright call". I say "you will win, nice hand". He says "no you have it". I show QQ, he rolls AK (giant lol at the nitroll with AK for $65 at 1/3). A in the window natch.

Good day other than not ever being able to even beat the lowest level of poker anymore.

7/12 - just had coffee and two strips of bacon for breakfast since I was meeting a buddy for BBQ at lunch. Pretty big lunch, but skipped sides and dessert, which this place has amazing versions of. Then we went and played golf, 6 Coors Lights and a vodka/soda/lime/lemon.

On the 4 hour drive home stopped at Carl's Jr and had a pretty big dinner. Did avoid fries.

High calories, but 140g of protein and some exercise. ehhh.
