Each hand has an unexploitable amount of blinds it can shove and call a shove with. Look up nash equilibrium push/fold. At 5bb the sb plays shove fold in GTO, at 5.5bb it starts to limp a small % of hands. At around 12bb ish it starts to incorporate at small min-raising range. The majority of hands until you start getting significantly deeper with play mixed strategies between limping and raising, and some between limping and folding.

Keep in mind for example, while ATs can open shove profitably and unexploitably for 20bb from the sb, it's EVs are higher both limping and raising.

At 10bb for example, the approximate GTO strategy is around 63% limp, 24% open shove, and 13% fold.

Had a terrible overnight with wife getting sick and repeatedly having her KidColin leg spasm attacks. Get her up for an early appointment and decided she just wasn't up for it and put her back to bed. I was feeling incredibly hungry, so decided to hit the Waffle House a mile away because I deserve a little treat...

Order a little pig-out breakfast of cheese eggs with double eggs, double sausage, double bacon, and a side of biscuit & gravy (there was also grits and raisin toast in there somewhere). I goes to shoveling it down and the waitress walks up to the table of regulars (who had *finished* eating, btw) beside me and the following conversation unfolds in very thick southern accents:
