Havent really trained that much lately cause of a bunch of fantasy football drafts on weekends and went to a wedding in seattle. im going to do a powerlifting meet on 11/18. I just started madcows 5x5 yesterday and have been doing carb back loading for a bit. I started everything pretty light.
So for the meet im doing on 11/18 I need to have a total from the federation thats holding it. There is a meet on 10/20 that is like 3 hours away from my house that I might do. Should I just go there and lift at like 90% to get a total or should I go all out?
My groin/hip started hurting. Almost wasnt able to rack the last rep on 310 cause of so much pain. Not sure what it is. I have a meet in a couple weeks so i might just do a token squat and try on everything else.
I have a meet saturday. I think im going to open at 319 squat, 242 bench, 450 deadlift. I just have to get a total so I can do a meet in vegas in 4 weeks. Since my leg is still messed up, I think I'll probably just do my opener sqaut and then not do any more squats.
Just finished the meet. Went 242 260 then fail at 275 for bench. Went 440 496 518 on Deadlift for a total of 1148. Not too bad since I've been injured.
A guy dropped 260 on his chest benching right after the handoff. Same thing that happened to the Russian guy who died. Was pretty freaky seeing that happen right before I had to bench
