I ran the Bloggett trail tonight. I got some pics but nothing fancy I am going to post some of them anyway but I need to find a new place to run.

I got a buddy that is a really good hunter and he has always told me, when your out in the woods, just stop and sit down for like 10 mins and see what happens. I have done this a lot and you would be surprised what you will see a lot of times. Anyway I tried it today but no luck.

I would love to get some shots of a Big Horn sheep for you guys. They are here. Maybe some day.......

You can go see the ocean when ever you want KC. I am not sure what kind of work you are into but I am sure Denver has a job for you so you can still get your NBA fix bro.

I could find work there. If I ever decide to leave new england (which is possible as the northeast is dying a slow death), I'd def check out denver.

Squat felt good. Going to keep going up. Bench felt pretty good today so I may try to go up one more time before I reset. Not sure yet. 205 feels good sometimes and sometimes it feels heavy as **** so I know I pretty close to my 5rm......

Squats felt good. Going up Wed.

Bench felt very heavy. I chickened out on the 2nd set. I think I could have done the 5th rep but def chance I could have gotten it stuck. On the last set I was mad at myself for not doing 5 reps the previous set and I didn't care if I got it stuck or not.

I went to the gym yesterday just to try and figure out what my 1rm was in the squat. I chickened out and stopped at 300. The gym was crowded and I didn't want to look foolish. 300 went up easy though. Pretty sure I can do 330+. I am going to look into the proper way to fail a squat rep some more today and maybe I will try again in a couple weeks.

After that like a dumbass I went out drinking. I had 6/15 oz Guinnesses. I ended up down for the night but even drinking I'm a pretty decent winner at this game. Hopefully I won't go back. The problem is drinking and playing poker is one of my favorite things to do.

Squats felt heavy. 210 on the bench felt really heavy. On a good note 205 doesn't really feel that heavy anymore. Not sure why.


Weighed in at 204. I think I gained a pound but I would have to look back. Doesn't surprise me I have been slacking on my diet......

Ran for 25 min on Thursday night also.

Day 19

I wasn't feeling it today so I just took it easy. Very long weekend at work. Plus I cut my right middle finger at work pretty bad. Pretty much to the bone. Got bit by a machine. I wasn't paying attention, was in a hurry, did something stupid, and paid for it. Anyway this made it a little more difficult to hold the bar.

My ankle is still not 100% but I only feel it when I stretch my quads (pulling my foot up behind me) and when I sprint outside at near 100%. I'm pretty much good to go though.

Nice on the ankle recovery so far. I'd recommend being somewhat careful though and when you ramp things up, do it gradually workout by workout if it puts a lot of stress on your ankle. And wait a day to figure out if your ankle was affected adversely. It can be really easy (imo anyway) to just start doing more and more sprinting or whatever b/c "oh my ankle feels fine" when it just hasn't had a chance to tell me it's hurtin' already.

Ok I'm back. Been sober since 10-31-2012. Been working out steady for about 3 months. When I started I was 209 pounds. I am currently down to 191 pounds. I still need to lose some belly fat but I not to unhappy with my weight.

Yesterday I did

HIIT on the treadmill
10 min jog @ 6.3
5 one min sprints @ 11.7
60 box jumps on the second tallest box not sure how tall that is.
60 sit-ups
5 one min planks


This weekend I drove down south and ran a trail around a lake down there really didn't get any crazy pictures. This was probably the best one I got.




Hopefully I can get some good pictures for you guys in the next couple weeks.

I took a drive to get some pictures this afternoon. I ran out of daylight because I stopped and went fishing for an hour so I didn't get as high as I wanted. I was going to try and get a picture of a bighorn but no luck.

I did get a couple "ok" pics. I didn't do any running outside today because I had already run earlier.

Hey Cha59! Thanks for the kind words.

Yes I did injure my back pretty bad. That's a pretty good memory you got. I have never felt that level of pain in my life. I was sitting in my office chair and I heard my 1 year old son pulling on something in another room. I jumped out of my chair and I went down like I was shot in the back. 10 out of 10 pain crawling around on the floor. Amazing pain. It was quite odd how I did it. Anyway I couldn't stand up straight for a week. My doctor said he didn't think I herniated a disc. Said something about my upper hip bone or something rubbing a nerve. idk what he said all I heard was no herniated disc.

I feel fine now but I'm scared to squat more than 225 now. It just feels kind of yucky in my lower back when I have more weight than that on my shoulders.

I having been thinking I need a new goal.
My first goal was to quit drinking because it had become a problem. Done.

My second goal was to start eating better and cut out all the soda. Done. Nothing but steak, chicken, veggies, fruit, Greek yogurt, protein shakes, and water.

My third goal was to get in better shape and lose 20 pounds. I started at 209 and I'm 189 pounds as of today. I cheated a little on this goal because I weighed myself today after I ran.

So now I'm thinking I want to run a mile in less than 6:20 on the treadmill, bench 200X5, squat 315X5 (not sure on this goal I'm getting chucks today to see if it helps my back), DL 300X5. I have no idea if this goal is even possible for me and I know that lifting for power and running a mile in under 6:20 are two totally conflicting goals. So good chance I fail miserably.

I ran a mile last week in 7:02 but I wasn't feeling it the entire time and for whatever reason the treadmill homed in at -1 grade. Not sure what's up with that but it didn't say i was running -1 at any point during my run. I feel I had a 6:50 maybe 6:40 in me.

My traps are killing me from the kettle ball swings. Everything else is good to go. Good thing I'm resting the next two days. I'm feel kind of beat up. Next week I'm going to continue the basic SS and try and run a mile in under 6:50.

You're doing swings wrong if your traps are doing work.
