Who knew that eating at greasy spoons and drinking a ton didn't have to result in weight gain. Did enjoy some air meals, one scoop instead of two. 5 slice pizza instead of 7. Prob should went Titos and soda instead of ginger beer. But ginger beer is great. Jetlag still strong tho. Get in at 11AM, take a 2 hour nap, goto bed at 8AM. Thanks life. Waist up 1cm, but prob just variance.

I did mention that I'd be eating some wish salads (corollary of wish sammie) while in the Uber, the driver thought that was very funny. He was obviously black. (For those who aren't WOKE. A wish sandwich is something that is popular among the African American community to express the level of poverty one went through being forced to "wish" there was something on the sandwich other than bread.)

Prob bump calories to 2500-3000 today as I was under 1k yesterday. The combo of super low cals, walking and limited sleep isn't helping my jetlag. But I finally understand how normies fall asleep shortly after laying down in bed. Being tired all the time (and lol waking up to an alarm clock) is just the nut low.

Repeat snatch on Wed.

So here is my diet for that day:

Coffee w/ milk (prob half cup)
2 scoop brotein
half tomato
7-9 beer
400g chicken breast
100g spinach w/other vege

Unsure if I eat ice cream or something else. #welp

Imagine if you planned your meals and then were able to make choices that fit into a plan and hit your macros.

Wrist is jammed. Prob won't Smolov Jr as it isn't super bad, just kinda sore and gives weird pain in certain positions. (No real swelling to speak of.)

Prob just pull/FS for a couple weeks. Have like 4 scheduled days off in 2 weeks, so will see how life is after that.

Weight: 76.5

Waist measurement down 1cm from previous low score after refeed, and ab definition looking better than ever. Unknown what weight will end up settling at, as I'm pretty shocked I'm this heavy, since this is essentially where I was during all my lolzy Smolov Jr cycles. Then again I've added more walking and eliminated my gravity related floor beering, which are both pretty meaningful changes from my previous derping. So we'll see.

Side record note: I weighed ~73.x last time I pulled a waist measurement this low around 2 years ago. I have better ab definition now, so I guess I magically gained like 7-8lbs of muscle and last a couple lbs of fat over than period. Meh. What else are records for than to make arbitrary speculations. Then again I was 74-75 with a similar waist measurements in early 2013. So I support I just lived like a derp for two years there. Who knows. Could bust out my training records and see what happened but whats the point?

It appears it has been ~ a month since I retired from Smolov Jr. Since then I have lost 1.4kg and 1.5cm on my waist measurement. (The two metrics I track.)

I basically stayed the same weight and lost 1-1.5cm during my two-ish months of Smolov Jr.

Considering I spent ~10 days on vacation and another 4 doing biz travel over the last month, I'll take it. Def gonna whiff on my late June magical #hope plan. But I'll probably cruise into August being leaner than ever. Just had to fight gravity's continual pull for floor beers each night and sub out real meals for air meals (and I guess I added in another 20km of walking per week).

I was hungry so I bought some deli meat (store was out of shrimp, wtf) and ate it with a pickle.

162 cals/28g protein

Add that to the protein shake in water and half a cup of milk I've consumed today and somehow I'm at like 80g+ protein and like <500cals. I wonder how I'm able to fit in ribeyes with wine at dinner when I fill out my morning/afternoon like this.

(Obviously if I find some shrimp I'll just end up at like 200g+ and like 1200 calories cause lol life.)

Anyone who may feel the urge to post something dumb, please don't.)

Looks like I'll be maintaining for the next 3 days, with a Friday "binge". (Prob curry.) Weighins will prob reflect that. May or may not still lose weight.

Trying to remove low satiety foods. (Have a large amount of nuts/seeds/beers/ice cream.) Gonna try and stockpile generic stuff that is more filling so I can grind out the first little while of this and cruise to a victory. Might make chili mid-month tho, so we'll see.

Some isolation arm work. Felt terrible due to knee/neck pains + wrist owie didn't like jerks. Due to neck owie, I woke up after like 5 hours of sleep, so I fell asleep super early. Due to this I forgot to eat my last meal so I have some cherries, half cup milk, 2 scoop brotein powder, 2 new potato, 1/4cup cuke salad, 2 smoke trout filet, egg/onion cream soup (small bowl, prob USA cup sized), glass wine, and 1.5 slice lightly buttered breads.

Which brings us to today:

Weight: 74.6

This is getting absurd. I'm gonna try to eat like 3k+ calories today. Sadly without extra alcohol to power it all down (or any liquid calories) that may be outside my ability (lest I intentionally try to go for hyperpalatable foods like bacon, etc.)

Tho I suppose MLY has an outside shot at her bet if I eat like a bird today and tomorrow and end up gaining 3lbs day 1 of weight loss bet. But still probably not. She'll prob gain or lose 1-2lbs.

To more fully answer your question: I think I'll look better and get better results when bulking. 77-78 is probably about as heavy as I want to go. Basically anytime you lose ab definition you're too fat, so it was time anyway. Partially some social factors that got me pressured into it.

On a more philosophical note: I will always be a tinybro. My bone growing progress has ground to a halt about 15y ago and flatlined ever since. I think we also delude ourselves into our level of accomplishment in an absolute sense pretty frequently. For example after reading cookie posting a video of himself benching slightly more than BW I congratulated some bro for benching 150, who then cut me off letting me know he benched 190x2 a year ago. (He's been retired for half a decade.) Then I remembered that any half decent athlete (at that size) is gonna muster reps at 200 without really trying. Like no one here is really strong, or really jacked, or whatever we wanna tell ourselves. We're all just at varying stages of mediocrity trying to reach more mediocrity. Even low end pros have some concept of where they are on the totem pole. (Above bro in story has a shotput PR of 20m+ which is k, he frequently threw and placed in all four throwing events in D1 college placing 1/1/1/3 in his best meet. He was/is frequently the third best thrower in the gym I goto.) I've come to grips that I may never snatch 100, but I'll keep grinding it out, maybe I'll weigh 165 and be pretty ripped in my mid-late 30s and total 95/114 or whatever.

Just gotta go through the motions.

Sounds depressing bro. I compare vs DYEL civilians. What if you were to see lats city walking down the street?

That's not mediocre, that's 1 out of 10,000,000.

Motivations certainly vary between people and I refuse to dive back into that MYLYT thread so thanks for elaborating. I definitely need to get my fat ass down to a point where I can see some abs, since that's never happened in my life.

On a somewhat related note to your philosophical point.. Yesterday I deadlifted up to a heavy single. As I was putting up the weights, some bro came over to ask if I was done because he wanted to use the rack. I said "yup, all yours" and he then commented in amazement something like "Wow that was a lot of weight! yada yada yada" He was young and I believe sincere, so I'm pretty sure he had just never seen anyone pick up 220kg and put it back on the ground again. It was at that moment I realized I need to get the **** out of that gym and into a more competitive lifting environment (something like you describe), because sure 220 is pretty good for your average jelly dick off the street but it's nothing for real athletes. Good thing I'm moving to a real city and will have some options.
