Mihkel,

Made this today, and it was pretty delicious. Managed to fit ~7 lbs in my Le Creuset, and on the plus side we have some delicious broth left.

I'm not sure I understood dry cumming 20 seconds ago, but I think I fully understand it now.

Good work.

PS: Using meatier broths than your recipe calls for is a pro tip. Many chicken dish want lardons or w/e. They are great, but add in a delicious pork broth and everything gets nuts. If you wanna get weird, throw in lamb broth whenever the **** you want.

Knees still feel bad.

Did some isolation work as I felt a little dizzy when I sat down after last FS set, didn't wanna needlessly take life in hand putting large steel objects over head/neck.

I put in more ginger and green onions than called for, and the chicken still just had a very faint flavor; I'll get more aggressive next time as suggested.

ETA: Any plan of action for the knees other than isolation stuff? Seems like they've been balky for a while now if I'm recalling correctly.

Are you using brined chicken or frozen? I don't buy poor people chicken, but I can't imagine having it sit in a bunch of salty water helps the uptake of flavor in any way. And frozen food is for convenience/poverty.

I don't do much isolation stuff, nor do I do a reasonable (IE more than none) amount of mobility work. Actually doing some occlusion training (banding!) and mobility work would be the first in a long line of things.

My knees have been pretty terrible feeling since I had the right one make a weird crunching sound while front squatting. So I've been trying to avoid doing anything too weird. Probably doesn't help that it is the middle of the winter and I'm old. But just kinda grinding out low vol/intensity squats seems like its fine at the moment. Obviously the biggest thing that will help is is time off. I have a vacay 16-25 which should result in some generic hotel gym workouts which should provide some time for the knees/back/etc to feel better. (Back pain is just old man sleep bad back pain. Felt bad today, but had a pretty easy PC at 100 so w/e.)

Side Note: One of my bigger issues is that don't fully extend on my pull leaving the bar out in front a tad. This isn't a big evil (numerous WRs have been set doing this), but it has the big evil of not pulling the bar as high as possible and then requiring me to play around with my foot positioning on my third pull which I likely will never have the procioception to do.

I don't buy the brined stuff, no. We do buy in bulk and freeze for later, although this batch of chicken was freshly bought because I decided I wanted chicken "for the week" that morning. (There's now one breast left, so I guess I need to increase the batch size).

Word. I am not much of an olytarder, but everything here seems reasonable based on my zeroth order understanding of it and my extensive experience with the olds. Good luck.

Appears to be that the Chinese have usurped the Japanese. Almost 45% Chinese/Oz.

Obviously being a jacked white dude probably helps in attracting tall hot blond women for vacation sex. I'm forced into the burden of saying witty things instead of just standing around.

There is also gonna be some obv subdivision within Bali. I was in Thailand and recall seeing exactly two hookers. (Well prob several thousand that have had or would have sex for money, but only two obviously working.) I'm sure there are areas that cater to Northern Euros.

I admittedly can't recall seeing many hookers in Bangkok, but they were thick on the ground when we were in Phuket and Patong last year. Although this probably obviously has a lot to do with the types of places we frequented in Bangkok as opposed to Phuket. ymmv.

To be fair, I haven't actually been to Bali, but I think Australians might be banned now because apparently us joking about them slaughtering West Papuans is insulting or something. Everyone's so sensitive these days.

My African friend does this as a hobby. He'll actually bring them back to his room sometimes. They love it for the first half hour or so, get frustrated after a while, demand sex, are politely rejected and offered another drink, and then get confused and just leave.

I guess mileage may vary. I havent been for about seven years so it may have changed. I just remember this great dynamic which resulted from the demographic being ~70% AU & Japanese whcih both loved americans and 20-30% northern european with a huge contingent from Norway which at the time had some sort of all girls semester abroad school. So when comparing it to other party spots in the mediteranian and especially to other surf trip spots, the dynamic was on a relative basis the best by a long shot.

Yeah, obviously it'll be hyper local since groups tend to coincide for a variety of reasons. (Tour group, language specific advertising, etc) Seems like a pretty reasonable summary. I'm not into Azn women, and Aussies rank pretty low on my general white women scale. Nordic women are pro, but I don't see the point in going halfway around the planet for that.

Tho compared to say Hawaii, which is both horrific to surf in and not a great place to get wimmenz. (Great to do other stuff if you don't surf and are bringing your own sand.)

Regardless, I'm focused on reading books and eating street food for <$5.

I was inspired by an Instagram photo of a woman eating a single crab cake for dinner. I wish there was more crab here. Great diet food. Might have to just stick to ad libitum shrimp.

Man crab legs would be an elite diet food if it wasn't so expensive. Its delicious, basically pure protein and it takes so much effort that it'd be impossible to overeat without some servant extracting the meat for you.

You are definitely an amateur at crab legs - just purchase scissors for opening them up and it takes no time to get to the goods. They actually make some specifically for this purpose!

Hotel has 22kg DB as the heaviest and a single weird machine. Might have to go to larger sister hotel to use their gym. (Apparently has spa facilities and other niceties as well.)

I'm gonna try to walk a lot and do a significant amount of gheydio daily.

Sadly I don't think that will make up for the fact I'm treating every meal like YTF treats a trip past the gas station.

Will be mildly annoyed if I weigh in at 78+ when I return to the forefront of the artic.

Routine will be 3x8-12 UB push/pull and then whatever lower body isolation I decide to do.

I'm on vacation, and I'm ostensibly dieting so I try to cut volume. Basically anytime I think I feel good I over exert myself and then feel crushed for 5 days. But I guess I'm close to setting PRs on stuff I don't even train for, so w/e. Appears to be working.

I did eat a 1kg crab earlier. So that has to be pretty anabolic.
